Stock flex. Big concern?

Hey guys, first post here (long time lurker). I'm putting together a new rifle and mounted my Rem 700 SPS-T .308 into my new Manners T2 with mini-chasis/DBM. After I mounted & torqued the action to specs, I noticed the barrel can be pulled down a bit into the channel (down towards the stock) when I grasp it somewhat forcefully near the sling swivel stud area. Should this be a major concern or is it supposed to be like that? Thanks in advance for your help.

The Manners with DBM is excellent, and a perfect upgrade for an SPS, your groups will tighten if you do your part and feed it right. For that rifle, 175 SMK or Berger OTMs are really best with that barrel. I know this gun well. Some amount of flex is normal, now if the barrel is moving or loose then something is wrong. Just remember when you pull that trigger from the nanosecond the barrel will start to vibrate and flex naturally.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I thought it was normal and the barrel needs room to flex but I didn't think the barrel should move that easily. I put the same gun in an HS Precision PSS stock a few years ago and don't remember that much movement (or any movement). I'll post a photo and specs once my scope & rings get here.
Thanks again..
