I don't know if this belongs here or the gun smithing section but this one seems to be visited more often... Feel free to move it if necessary moderators. I just purchased a Bell and Carlson Fully adjustable tactical medalist for my Remington 700. Overall I am very impressed with the features, quality, comfort, etc. Definitely what I was looking for. I did come across an issue though when the action is in the stock. The action doesn't appear centered in the stock. The barrel is rubbing on one side of the forend while the action is rubbing on the opposite side of the stock. I tried loosening and retightening it to see if maybe it shifted when I torqued it down but same result. I plan on bedding it with devcon but don't know if the problem will still exist. The barrel free floats as promised other than that area at the end of the stock. I don't want to start carving at a brand new stock if there's an easier solution/ explanation. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any suggestions or solutions?
