I recently purchased a Savage .308 FCP-K and I'm currently exploring my options for an after market stock. I have checked out the Choate, Manners, B&C, H-S, McMillan and McRee brand of stocks. I seem to keep running into the problem regarding the trigger guard bolt release on my rifle. Most every stock company states they are not compatible with this style of rifle. I have read up on several articles on this site trying to find an answer to this problem with no luck. If anyone on this site owns this rifle and could recommend a good after market stock that will fit this rifle, It would be greatly appreciated

I even tried to pull up suggestions on the Google search engine with no luck

Re: Stock Options for Savage FCP-K

I think Choate now has one that will fit the FCP-K but you should call them to make sure.

I'm pretty happy with Kyle's XLR Chassis on my 110 FCP-K.

Re: Stock Options for Savage FCP-K

I just purchased the Prairie Dog Special/Tactical From Stockade Gun Stocks.

Kevin is a good guy, he doesn't mind taking time to answer question and he will direct you to other products if his aren't a right fit for you.

I had the PDS/T inlet to accept his bottom metal which will be receiving a 10 round magazine which he makes. 2 flush cups, front rail for adjustable stud, Karsten cheek piece....

Adding a PTG spiral flutted Bolt Body
And a Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50

I'm looking forward to seeing the FCP-K dressed out in a new outfit.

Re: Stock Options for Savage FCP-K

I just got my FCP-K today and am really excited to shoot it soon. I put a Karsten cheek rest on it and it helped the OEM stock out a ton. I am going to start saving now for one of those XLR chassis!
