Storing batteries in stocks, grips, etc.???

Re: Storing batteries in stocks, grips, etc.???

Separate them with something non-conductive,foam or cardboard. They can bounce around for a long time and still have some use, start with Lithium and you get a little better resiliency to temps.

Pos to neg, but it shouldn't matter, no actual need to isolate, as long as they cannot make a circuit they won't do anything. All batteries even in origional packaging will loose charge with time, they all have the potential to corrode or rupture due to enviromental factors. Don't keep them in there forever and they'll be fine, if you're not changing them atleast annually you probably really don't need to pack them on the weapon.

I keep a set in the stock of my duty weapon but other than that I don't pack them. I've really changed my thought process as I get older and have to pack so much crap!!! I really only need them on my duty weapon!! I keep the rest in my BOB!!
