Hi folks I did some reading and didnt quite find all that I was looking for by searching the Hide so here it is. Im going to be gone for two years (serving a mission for the LDS church) and wont be taking my guns with me. Guns will be kept in my safe here in AZ and Im wondering how I should oil/grease overall prep my guns to be stored for two years.
As I said they will be kept in a safe with and Eva Dry dehumidifier (recharable desicant that will be periodically checked to ensure it remains fresh). Ive been cleaning using MC #7 and Kroil. I also have some weapon shield on hand that I use mainly on my handguns as well as tetra gun grease. So just looking to see what you all suggest to condition the bores and metal on my guns to prevent anything from happening like rust while Im away. I saw these although I dont know that they are necessary http://secure.armorholdings.com/kleen-bore/product396.html Anyways please comment especially if you have firsthand experience. Your help and input is greatly appreciated.
