yup. how do you know they are not spies? i mean, they are from another country. i have zero sympathy for them. and like was said....with this slap on the wrist, they just emboldened the next ones.
The slogan for this event is "They can't stop us all..." If they had smoked these two guys, the perspective participants might think "Maybe they CAN stop us all." With the arrest of these two guys, the trap is set. At least, I like to think that the security is smart enough to play along.

We used to make those things. Flash bangs are available in the low power 40mm for handhelds like m203 and Thumpers. The hi powered 40mm auto grenade launchers like the Mk 19 do not have a non lethal”flash bang” cartridge that I know of. Once you are in Mk 19 range... nooone is busy trying to spare you.
For the Mk 47, They do have a nice programmable range smart air bursting grenade that is great fun for targets behind barriers or walls or out in the open, however. Lase target, range programmed into grenade as it exits barrel. It explodes over head of neck beard-type. Derived from the OCSW project which was quite Buck Rogers!
