mother fuck......I just got my first ever precision build delivered by USPS today and proceeded to mount my scope. I'm a lefty so naturally something is bound to go wrong and of course it does. I have a Stiller Tac 30 action with a Stiller 0 moa base (bought it all used). Well I bought the Razor HD / SPUHR mount group buy and mounted everything. The base is the short type that does not extend over the barrel otherwise I wouldn't be having this problem. When I try to lift the bolt it hits the bottom left side of the SPUHR mount (remember I'm a lefty) and I cannot open or close the bolt. If I move the mount forward there will only be 3 of the 4 screws in use so that can't happen. I can obviously sell the SPUHR mount or get an extended base but now thats another several weeks and I'm impatient....I want to shoot this goddamn thing. I'm honestly contemplating grinding down the mount just enough to let the bolt lift. It's Christmas so nobody is going to drop $350 on a mount till probably the second week of January. Would you guys grind it down? And the area where I'd be grinding is in no way affecting any of the contact points between it and the base.
Edit: Also, the base screws for stiller actions are different than an ordinary Remington base.
