I ask ask a lot of stupid questions because I am learning about long range target shooting which I do think is more complicated that being very knowledgeable with my 1911's or pistol shooting thought that is complicated, just you do not need to consider the rotation of the earth, temperature, etc.

You can be sure no one was born with the knowledge about long range shooting and had to have read about it or asked about questions.

As far as I am concerned there are no stupid questions , just people who may not know something. I am sure that in other fields no one has all the answers.

Why would anyone want to recover from a 1911 addiction?

OP, yes, there is a lot to consider, but its worth the effort to master this process. Much fun learning how to put pills on a target you can barely see without magnification.

Well, the beauty of the Internet is that in 2014, almost all the stupid questions have already been asked online and are available with a simple Google search. There is no need to ask these stupid questions yourself. You can simply see how they have been previously answered.

Is there a question here somewhere?

Feelings hurt?? If you post here often enough either you will leave with tears or you will callous up. The real world is not all rainbows and unicorns. Put on big boy panties and read some. At least you have found the thread to post in till you can go back into the deep end of the pool.

DarnYankeeUSMC Feelings were NOT hurt I just treat people with respect even if they do not deserve it. I have no problem sending a Talban to paradise but I would do it with respect same as anyone who gets in my face.

Erud - no question here, I just felt I should be heard and give my .02

Stupid questions ...

Hmmmm.... Respect regardless of whether one deserves it, eh?

What if you were being threatened with execution in the Rwandan genocide: Respect?

What about if you were being beaten and tortured: Any respect for the Gestapo in 1941 Vichy France?

How about having your skin burned off in layers by the propane torches of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard: Respect?

You're going to have to give him time to Google. He may get back to you on that before school starts back up.

You have definitely met the forum threshold for stupidity. Please proceed with your marksmanship question.

Holy crap guys! That was a swift kick to the buddies! Lol. I agree, no stupid questions. Well. I take that back. There are lots of stupid questions. Read/google first. And vague questions suck. Like "700 vs. savage" or "who makes the best scope" and "sniper rifle" anything are pretty stupid. But they are highly entertaining. So I suggest your first question should go like this. "700 vs Savage vs. S&B vs. Counter Sniper vs. Army SEAL vs Navy Ranger?"

Ask that in the bolt action forum and I will give you a high-five.

I like this section. It's one of the most entertaining. I do, sometimes, feel sorry for some of the guys that post here when they get burned. The post heading should add"Post at your own risk". A few do need a thicker skin. A few need to "listen up" , and some need to lite'n up. I can think of a few hundred, we hav'nt seen, like: Which way does the pointy end go? Where do ya put the powder? Can I use a .22 at 1000?,.......etc. I think the "coriolis affect" May be ready for another go. Here is where I come to drink my morning joe, and sometimes feel smarter.
