If they knew he was arm would they have messed with him? A polite society is an armed society.
Living in Texas everyone is so polite and nice. Also, most people I know are armed from Moms to Grandmothers they are carrying. When I lived in Los Angeles people weren't nice unless you knew them and if you said hello to someone they would look away and not reply back. Were here in Texas everyone says hello to each other.

Reading is a shithole, as is Norristown, downstream, and they're both right next to the Schuykill River and both have bike trails in locations that are convenient to the criminally inclined. This is the second time in something like two years for shooting incidents on the trails with exactly the same circumstances. I don't go into either one of them unless I'm heeled like a South Chine Sea pirate.

You never know who or what you are going to run into. I tell the delinquents that I work with that all the time. N my opinion this doesn't happen nearly enough.

I know exactly where that bridge is in Reading going over to West Reading. I used to work there when I still lived in Pottstown, but can agree that once the industry left the area, Reading, Pottstown, and Norristown became crime ridden.
I was a firefighter/EMT back there before I moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1987. NO regrets, even though I have some family back there. I have seen just about everything in the back of an ambulance, but never had to deliver a baby.
