Night Vision Suggestions wanted

I would like to purchase a NV set up to go in front of my day scope (s) one scope is a NF 5.5x22x56 and the other is a USO SN3 T-PAL 5X25X58. It will be used for night shoots at steel and yotes. The caliber of rifle is 6.5 creedmoor, one AR platform and one on an AI 2.0 chassis bolt gun. I would like to be in the 2k-4k price range. I have an IR lens for my "go light" that could assist in "painting targets". Any and all suggestions would be appreciated, I am looking forward to the purchase, but would like to go into it with as much info as possible. Thanks

Perfect fit for your application is the ATN PS-22/PS-40 series. The difference between them is the PS-22 is really geared for scopes 56mm and under, ideally even 50mm scopes and under. The PS-40 is designed for larger objective scopes, 56mm and up to those 72mm monsters. If you plan to use it mostly on your 56mm and 58mm scopes the PS-40 might be the better option. As for generation, that depends on the ranges you plan to shoot. I've used gen 3 and 3A units (3A is a hand picked tube with slightly better specs) out to 250-300 yards on hogs with decent ambient conditions, partly starry night. If you plan on shooting under 200 yards, they do have a gen 2 unit. A gen 3 retail for around $4000 and 3A unit for around $4400. If you like send me a PM and I can get you a quote to get them better into your range. Mount wise, theres are a few options from a objective clamp mount, to a rail mount, to the ATN BAM mount which hangs the unit in front of the objective, plenty of options though.

Unless you have a dedicated night time rifle setup, the PS22/PS-40 is the perfect choice. Any precision shooter knows you definitely do not want to be swapping out optics once you spend all that time at the range. The ability to add and take off a NV setup is ideal.

As noted in previous posts, the PS-22 can have problems out of the box with POA/POI issues. There will be other options VERY soon, so stay tuned to our web site.

If you get a ps-22 or 40 your going to have to have it re collimated. Very few out of the box are collimated correctly. Clip ons such as the pvs- 22,24,27 and L3 LR are going to be much higher than your budget. 7-11k depending on which device you go with. I have a d-760 and pvs-24 and I can tell you the 760 kicks ass as far as image quality. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with the 24, but a dedicated weapon sight is going to have a better image than any clip on. However, for versatility nothing beats a clip on.

Thanks for the replies, it will primarily be on the DPMS as that is going to be my Predator rifle, however we do night shoots from time to time on steel and I would like to be able to switch it over to my match gun to shoot steel. How far will it stretch the capabilities of seeing targets having an IR lens on a spotlight to "paint" targets? I have recently purchased two "go lights" one is a 360 degree remote one that is vehicle mounted and the other is a portable rechargeable, I have the IR lenses for both. Just wondering if you guys have had any first hand experience with these or a similar setup and wondering if it "extends" the working range of the set up.

As far as a mount I was hoping to add some sort of rail mount so I don't have to hang anything off the objective of the scope, just have it mounted to the rifle in front of the scope.
