Sounds like avoiding updates has been a good accidental practice which I will now intentionally continue to do

My main reason for the ST was AI. I didn’t want to have to learn all these parameters myself and spend all my time experimenting and tuning rather than reloading. I can handle watching the slow and fast settings 1 time for a new powder to make sure something is coming out and powder is not bouncing out of the pan, but that’s it. And it appears that that’s not really possible. I realize that my powders like N170/N570 are a trickler manufacturer’s nightmare as 1 granule is what makes or breaks the .02 tolerance. To be honest I’m disappointed with the low success rates (50-60%) I’m getting (overthrowing). It pins me down to the ST to throw back those (over)charges. Reducing the slow setting seems to stall the drop all together and then there’s a flood causing another overthrow. I’d rather add 5 seconds to a cycle but the result so far has been the same. 93.60 or 93.64 grain won’t make a difference for this shooter and his rifle, but I guess I have a bit of an obsessive nature.

I’m having a tough time waiting.

Two years ago, I sold my match masters, two of them, in anticipation of the autotricker, and then I hand dropped and hand trickled for six months, waiting on the autotrickler. it took all of about two months to get frustrated with that and I immediately boxed it up and sold it and hand trickled again for six more months until my supertricker arrived. It took six months to get fed up with that and when I saw the IP coming to fruition, I sold it a month or two ago, and I will be stuck hand trickling again until the IP arrives at my doorstep.

Thus, I have spent the majority of the past two years trickling by hand while trading machines in advance, because I expected the value of the old machines to decline rapidly once the next greatest thing hits the benches.

Hopefully the IP is the end destination in a long journey

I would say that the new IP is going to be great. I have dual ATV3+IP and I was able to load 395 rounds in 45 minutes with an autodrive. It was spectacular. I just want to get away from the AT system...

maybe some can help me . I updated to 2.41 gen 1 . how anyone in there right mind can call this an update is beyond me . Seems like they just made it even more complicated with even worse results . It over throws every single time . I’ve read the Manuel watched the video calibrated the vibrator and now it 4 hours later with O rounds loaded . I’m really starting to hate this thing . Any ways does Anyone have setting for 26g of varget ? What doesn’t take 20secants or over throw ? Pls help or this things going to be used for range practice

Sometimes it just gets on a bad path and it can’t Unfuck itself and you have to just start over

I have one, why can they not make a easy mode. So it works just like the V3 or V4, enter the weight of the drop and have it trickle the last grain? Seems like this should be super easy. I have a V3 and V4 and this stupid trickler, why are we still having to deal with issue? Just release the new firmware so we can test it out.

There is an enormous discrepancy between the bulk in flight that is calculated, and what is set. On your settings.

Set the bulk in flight to 12 greens

Also, your idle speed for your vibratory motor is high. Turn that down to like two or 3%

I was a beta tester, but I sold my machine, so my memory is starting to get rusty, but that’s where I would start

Ok updated to 3.0 a few days ago. It has completely fixed the ST for me. I am getting 90% + throws 15 seconds or less. I could tune it faster but I am so happy with the accuracy that I don't want to mess with it. The 10% remaining overthrows are almost only .02 over.

Its night and day difference throwing H4350, and I would assume will be the same for other extruded powders. It works so well I just bought a second machine. Still have the IP trickler on pre-order but may just end up selling it.

If you have a ST, do the update ASAP. Its a game changer.

Well that's good! Maybe all the folks who have a ST will have a good unit they can use now. I never got on that train but from what I've read, the issue was always the vibrating tube and many didn't think there was really any way to "fix it", as a result. So are you saying that the ST system is now pretty solid then right?

I will stick with my IP set up and also have a new one on order but I'm glad that so many others will have a better set up ST with this update.

Yes, they fixed the trickler/vibration. Its MUCH more consistent now and can run faster without risk of overthrowing like in the past.

IP may still be a better system but it definitively helps close the gap. I just bought another used ST for $400. VS $1K for the new IP and who knows how long they will take to ship.

Down loaded 3.0 yesterday and it works great in Varget. Ran 44 straight ave. 16.5 seconds. This is a huge improvement over the 2.41.

I was about done with the supertrickler as well until 3.0. Without any tweaking and using only AI, I threw 100 straight with an 88% success rate with an average throw time of 9.5 seconds of Varget. For now it looks like it’s staying on my bench. But that IP set up looks tempting as hell

Damn, at first, I was going to just leave mine be, but you all talking about 3.0 might make me break down and let this thing call back home for an update.

I haven't really used it much since StaBall 6.5 arrived and I swapped to that for 6.5x47L and 6.5C, but always a good idea to have it set up for peak performance when it's time to break out the Retumbo and IMR4064 to load 338LM and 7.62x54R, respectively.

Never had 80% success rate before. More tweaking probably would help, but this is doable.

Yes. Like I mentioned, I did not have much time to play around and I think it can do better yet. Observing the process it seemed that both bulk and fine go “overboard” easily and 1 kernel appears to be .02, so tweaking both bulk and fine helps to make sure that at the end pulse is getting used for the final drop. It added about 2 secs to the avg time.

Got mine two days ago. The super tickler is definitively not what we may call a plug-and-play experience. However, once you have made the necessary changes/settings on your scale, it's usable relatively quickly.

Today, I quickly loaded a bunch of 6.5CM brass: 3.0 - 6.0 seconds per charge (AI mode) at 90% success rate with N555.

So far, I am happy with my purchase. I see where the potential is for saving a lot of time.

I just performed my first upgrade from v2.4.1 to v3.0.2. Huge huge improvement. I had a bit of luck at the beginning with the v2 and later on it has been a pain in the ass to even reach a 60% success rate. Same powder same everything but now I immediately get a 85-90% rate. So far, for me the version 3 is clearly a day/night difference at this point.

Well, here’s a new one for me ref the ST. Finally running low on 174gr SMK x54R handloads for my SVDs, it was time to make a preset for 45.5gr of IMR 4064 to make a few hundred rounds over the next month or so. I tweaked the settings and saved the new profile earlier this week without issue before putting the powder back in the keg as I knew it would be a few days before I got back to loading.

Fast forward to today, and powder is not going into the small vibrator tube. Prime the tubes all day long, powder is flowing from the larger bottom tube, the vibrator tube is vibrating, but no powder is falling in the small tube. WTF?!?

What am I missing? Tried poking a pipe cleaner down from the powder hopper and up from the vibrator tube, thinking a couple long kernels perfectly blocked the entrance, but didn’t seem to encounter any resistance or knock anything loose. So, what the fuck?

Rog, I’ll give that a try. With all the bumping and turning to get all the powder out it makes sense the vibrator tube might have been jostled out of alignment with the hopper.

It worked. Just had to push/pull until I saw powder fall into the vibrator tube.

Then I put the kid to work helping to make some 54R.

I just got a bill for import fees / duties / tariffs in the US , i was really worried about it because i could not find any info anywhere on it . It was only 32$ so hardly something worth worrying about . I just wanted to put the info up here in case others are searching for the cost in the future .

I actually dusted off my ST after a longer hiatus than I realized to load up some 54R. Took me a bit to tweak a preset for 45.4gr of IMR4064, but once I bumped up the vibration setting by 20ms it was dropping to within .02gr in 12-20sec. That's plenty fast for me as I'm seating a bullet after I charge each case. If I was using a loading block, I'd probably play with it some more. I normally got 10-15 throws before it would overthrow, and it would normally overthrow to 45.44 or 45.46, which is still plenty accurate for my 54R loads in an SVD. I thought about expanding the approved range, but wanted to see how it did holding to the tighter window.

Psychologically I couldn’t do it - because I couldn’t put the thought out of my mind: “I can hand trickle faster than this bullshit”

I need my drops to be under 8 to 10 seconds for all charges up to about 100 grains. And the super trick simply cannot do that unless you widen the tolerance which I also found unacceptable..

You know you can change the settings right? If learning mode doesn't do it automatically you can litterly change anything on there manually. Speeding up trickler is one of them.

Honestly...not much. Mostly used as a riser but ideally it's a level surface that doesn't change with temp swings. Also adds some weight to the table.
