Hi guys,
Finally got all my tax stamps in for my SBR, which consists of a Daniel Defense 300blk 10.5" upper, LMT lower and AAC 762-SDN6 can. I went out to the range for the first time today to shoot, and while the system shot great, the shot brass looks very dark and gassy. Is this symptomatic of too much gas, and if so what changes are recommended. Thanks much and let me know if more info or pics would help.

Pretty normal for the brass to come out dingy. It is, after all, an ar15 system. A pic might help, but fwiw my brass looks pretty sad when i shoot my 300 Blk suppressed. As long as it shoots good and doesnt fail I wouldnt worry about it.

Brass is always grimmy when you shoot suppressed in an AR. At least mine is in three different calibers. Two of which have adjustable gas blocks so I can turn down the gas. If I turn it off the brass is clean. Have fun with your new toys!

With subsonic ammo it will be even worse FYI. Has to do with gas sealing and that subs don't have the pressure to get a good one. The brasss should look like you dug it out of a coal chute.
