I'm looking at getting the Surefire M600 to enhance my IR light for my ATN X Sight 2 along with any other night gear I purchase. I was wondering if anyone has one and if they are worth getting.

They are ok. The AA ones are super long and I prefer the cr123. They are decent for shorter distances. I used mine in the 150 and in range. It's a surefire so it is rugged and it works. But if you just want a IR only illuminator, you can get much better output for the same price.

I have 952V's I think. I have a few of 'em and I've got a couple other V lights too including the big vertical grip model. Didn't know Surefire even made a AA product! Anyway, the way these V lights work is basically how their white lights work --same reflector. They do a good job lighting up the entire AO, good for clearing dark houses, etc. A laser, even on flood, will not light up nearly the same area nor as bright.

Basically, Surefire for anything close in, PEQ's for anything farther out. Two different tools for two different jobs. Output is pretty high on some of the V lights too, it's just spread waaaay out.
