surefire muzzle breaks?

Re: surefire muzzle breaks?

I love mine on my .308 bolt gun, but my friend hates being next to it, and everyone at the range flinches and gets a face full of gas when I pull the trigger. Overall, a great brake.

Re: surefire muzzle breaks?

The SureFire MB762SS on my rifles work great. I run the .30 cal on a .260 Remington and .308 Winchester. Same can serves both calibers well.

Without the suppressor, it reduces recoil very well. The pay off is increased muzzle blast at the shooter and observer. Think of sound as energy and it makes sense. With the suppressor, the recoil seems to be a bit more, but still less than without the brake. Accuracy for me improves with the suppressor on. Still, I don't always shoot with it on.

As far as it being load around other shooters, well, this debate has been hashed through before. Some say its rude to other shooters on the line. I say: its a rifle range, not a library. I don't mean to be rude or inconsiderate of other shooters. If possible, I'll shoot away from others to be more considerate. I've been next to .300 Magnums with brakes. It does take some concentration away, but that's part of most competitions: dealing with adversity while trying to make some difficult shots.

That's always fun when people are trying to give you their tacticool knowledge.

Re: surefire muzzle breaks?

I have used them on my 308 and 300WM and they work great. I only use them to use my Surefire can though as I don't like using or being near people with brakes for the above stated reasons.
