SureFire Muzzle Device Compatability

I have several Surefire muzzle devices and will be moving to a free state in the coming months. I'm completely new to the world of suppressors/silencers, so please be gentle...
My questions: do all the SF SOCOM devices fit all their cans? As in, do the .223 devices fit .308 cans and vice-versa? Will I need an adaptor or something?

All Socom/RC muzzle devices will fit the RC suppressors. 7.62 models will fit onto 5.56 muzzle devices, but the 7.62 muzzle devices will not accommodate 5.56 suppressors, for obvious reasons.
