I have a new surgeon action on my 6.5 Creed. It has the small firing pin. The bolt is stiffer than I expected. Is this normal. Can you get away with a weaker spring?

It is a Trigger Tech Special. I could not find anything on a sear adjustment. I just wish it was not so stiff. Its hard not to rock the gun when cycling rounds.
I know you spent money on that trigger but the choice is to get one with an adjustable sear (Bix N Andy for example) or have your bolt timed to THAT trigger by a gun smith. That is the only two things that I know of you can do. Maybe a professional can chime in.

Dave Tooley is correct. I would never give up firing pin fall or put in a softer spring, especially to make the bolt lift easier. We always ensure our rebarrel jobs never have a firing pin spring less than 21 lbs in a Remington 700 configuration. I would actually prefer a 24 lbs spring.

What a lot of people do not understand is "Proper Ignition" is not just setting primers off. You can still be setting off primers just fine, but if your firing pin spring has softened up, or your trigger is dragging on the cocking piece, you can easily increase your group sizes considerably.

Mark.
