I've looked around and haven't found much info on stocks for this set up. I called Surgeon, and they said that they have AICS, but only for the XL .338, not the 300 WM.

I've talked to Manners and they can inlet their stocks for this action. I also know that XLR makes a chassis system for this as well, but I would like to see other options.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Surgeon XL 300 Win Mag stock help

I just did a build with surgeon XL in 300WM, with an AICS 2.0 that I got from Surgeon. The AICS is basically a long action chassis that is slightly modified by Surgeon to take the XL action. This is what you wouild do for 338LM chambering, but it is the same if you are chambering 300WM. In fact, the CIP 338 mag that came with the AICS chassis works just fine, unmodified, with 300WM cartridges. I have a bunch of Manners and MCM stocks, but really enjoy the AICS set up with the Surgeon XL/300WM. Make sure if you are ordering extra mags from AICS, that they are CIP 338, the regular 338 and 300wm wont fit.

Re: Surgeon XL 300 Win Mag stock help

I decided to go with the Manners T5A and I'm super stoked about it. I have to say I am very impressed with the CS over at Manners. They were very patient with me and more than willing to sit and answer all my silly questions.

The only problem is I have to wait 12 weeks with my barreled action staring at me longingly before I can shoot it! If anyone can offer advice on how to get through this trying time, please let me know!
