I had an A5 on this rifle and wanted to try a chassis. So. I contacted Kyle at XLR and ordered the XLR. I had it shipped directly to Branden(Short Bus) and had him paint the chassis in desert multi cam. I saw a pic of one that he did for Big Joe and thought it looked great. I sent Short Bus my S&B that was previously ral8000 and had him paint it fde. I really like how everything came together.

Re: Surgeon, XLR, S&B, and Short Bus

The new locking mechanism on the chassis locks up tight. There is no slop. With it folded it fits very well in the X3 lowdrag. I took it out to shoot for the first time today after getting everything put together. I am very happy with this setup. It is the most comfortable stock I have been behind. Thanks to Surgeon, XLR, and ShortBus for their outstanding products. Also, thanks to Big Joe for the inspiration for the paint scheme.

I like it better so far. I am not sure if it just the ergonomics or if I was just able to get this chassis dialed in to me better than the A5 was, but it was significantly more comfortable. I was also able to stay on target a little better. I could spot hits and misses with the A5, but it seemed this chassis did not move as much. I am sure it is a result of the adjustability of the chassis.

Another great thing is I was able to put a PVS-24 lr on it just fine with the 5-25 S&B. Plenty of room and it worked great. So, for you guy's running NV, this chassis is a great choice.

Thank You man. You do awesome work. I couldn't be happier with how this came out. If anyone is considering having something painted, Short Bus does great work.

"New folding mechanism?"

Doesn't look like the square-type ACE mechanism that they usually come with. Is this something that you installed, or is Kyle sending these out with his stocks now. Any info is appreciated. Nice rifle by the way.

Correct, this is Kyle's design. It works great. There is absolutely zero slop.
