Finally got hold of the secretary at southwest. She was a pleasure to talk to and im glad they hired someone to answer the phone. I got an update on my order status and it should be here within the next week and a half. I have waited a long time for my ammo but i know the guys are busy and things are crazy right now and im sure the ammo will be worth the wait.

Our liability insurance was canceled because we occasionally coat gun parts. That's right , coating only of internal parts. Never have any complete firearms or even partials in our shop. They refused to explain other than "Company policy" due to recent political events apparently. We canceled all our policies immediately and found policies through a local gun friendly agency.
I won't publish the company who cancelled but it rhimes with "Armors".
Another coating company locally had their rates increased and deductibles raised on almost every policy they have ( or had ) from property to health over coating barrels and receivers.
We had one of our two banks cancel our line of credit as well two weeks ago.
We're waiting for outstanding checks to clear to pull all our accounts.
Now the other bank wants to do an onsite "inspection" and to see all our customer invoices for the past 5 plus years.
They actually asked how far we are from any schools , whether anyone on site has any guns and want "permission" to run background checks on all employees.
We have done business with them for 40 years and this is the first time this has ever happened.
We do very little coating of these parts, minor revenue at best, but this threatens our business with shutdown.
No explanation except "standard policyl".

Oh yeah , they also want to scan our computers for "security weaknesses" and refuse to sign an NDA not to disclose private company information to government agencies.
My guess is this is coming from higher up since banks and insurance companies are heavily federally regulated.

I'm ready to order some more ammo. But I sort of wish they would list on the web site the number of boxes they have in stock. You know something like "Ready 25 boxes". It would help to decide to buy, then or roll my own depending on just that. Some others do and it helps. Just saying.

We are pushing about 60 orders a day. Some technical issues have aroused since last Friday that has occupied my time but I still get a good chunk of orders out daily.
Our processing company is not being to friendly and we lost a credit line this week.
Just to be clear it is not because of us, it is simply the current political climate I truly believe. Our credit line holder we have done business with for a year and paid back every loan twice as fast with an above average interest rate.
Our credit line was not with Bank of America, they were a smaller company, I will not post their company name, they will just miss out in a growing business like mine and many others right now.
I do want to thank everyone for keeping the orders rolling in with only a check option right now, I know it can be inconvenient with the times but we will have credit card processing again, we had a back up, just setting it up.
Thanks again all, we are nothing without you guys.

USPS box is on the way for 520 rounds of 175 SMK reloads. Waiting for the CC procesing to come back up so that I can place and order for the 180 GameKings!
Keep up the good work you guys rock. What is the turn around time on those reloads? Just wondering so that I can get another boxed headed your way once this one is recieved.

Zach, as you allude to, there are a number of smaller companies involved in the manufacture or support of the firearms industry that are experiencing the same thing you are (meaning the attack from creditors and insurance companies). It's so evident that this is a concerted effort being driven from somewhere else. Those of us paying attention understand that this is not of your doing.
Hang in there and find companies that are not in someone's pocket and that will support you as you grow. Good luck!

I am going on a month and a half for a reload order and a order of 308 168 SMK's. First order with SW but have heard nothing but good so I'll wait it out, too much craziness going on, I wonder if there is a way to sue these banks for discrimination and harassment, after all they are backed by our taxpayer money and have recently been bailed out big time.

Just tried to place an order and got the Credit card error communication error. Anyone else? Also sent in a reload or in last week for 520 rounds of 175 SMK. Is the current turn around time still 3 weeks or so? Will be using these in a Magpul class in April.

I think I am going to call the office in the am and place an order as well as check in with the reloading order that I sent in. Tracking as well as clearned check shows so hopefully it will head out soon.

Its a tough climate out there Mobius and it is possible that Badbowtie03 has been waiting 3 months on his order. Personally I have one order at 10 weeks and one at 5. I know that SWAmmo is new to industry and hopefully in time they can more accurately predict reload times. I too like others have called and been told "1 week" several times. I have just grown to accept that its the climate we are all experiencing. Hopefully I get some of my loads this month, else I will honestly be kicking myself in the ass for giving up $700 and a little over a thousand rounds of brass instead of selling the brass keeping the money and buying new ammo.

I called the shop the other day to place an order on the phone and the girl on the other end was super helpful. I also was told that they will be reloading next week. I have no issue waiting due to the fact that I am super happy with the final product. Just want to make sure I get the ammo for when I really need it.

I really am telling the truth... ive sent multiple pm's and they really hardly ever get replied to. I know they are psycho busy.. but ive been reading these multiple threads on SW ammo and people have orderd after me and received their stuff. I wouldnt really care that it wasnt here except for the fact that Ive been told over and over again that it was "on its way" "we just loaded your ammo" "yours is up next" or whatever. Im not angry... just a little disappointed. I think they have overloaded themselves and probably shouldn't take anymore orders until they can get caught up to a reasonable time period for filling orders. Mine were reloads btw... Oh and also, they cashed my check back in earlier January I think it was and so I thought my stuff was being shipped but it hasnt come yet. I was hoping to use the ammo here this winter here in florida for hunting but it didnt work out.

There are great sponsors, shooters and honorable people here. So coming in to make a $ on ammo that is. say...questionable is a total joke.

For what it's worth, I shipped 270 cases of brass of .308 back on October 15, 2012. Still waiting, every time I call, it's "being worked on". I'm sure their products is amazing but from reading this thread, it does not look like anyone got their reload order fulfilled. I might be wrong but.... Still patiently waiting. My 2 cents...

i recieved my ammo yesterday...it was packed very well...ill shoot it tomorrow and give an update...
i am very pleased with the service, and the speed of my order. they were very nice to talk to on the phone and basically took great care of me...

How was your packed well? Mine was packed loosely in a small box.... I dont know how I felt about that.

We are shipping around 65 to 75 boxes a day, we are knocking out the reloads, I did put them on the back burner a bit and I apologize for that, it is fast pace around here right now.
We will make some more changes to the reloading service.
We are going to limit what brass brands we will reload. I am getting a lot of brass that looks like it was scooped up at the range after sitting on the ground for a year. Some are sending in berdan primed brass mixed in with boxer primed brass.
So here is the break down.
Brass we will reload for 308 (below):
southwest head stamped brass
FC nato or federal commercial brass
Winchester brass
BHA head stamped brass
Lapua brass
SSA
LC if it has not been fired in a machine gun, fired out of bolt or AR rifles only
NORMA brass
PPU
WCC
GGG
If you do not see it up there, we will have to say no to the reloading it. Sorry about the change, but some brass is really hard on our stuff, and becomes time consuming, and right now, we cant have that.
Price jump on the reloads for 308 is $.74 per round for most SMK's and some AMAx projectile. The reason for the price jump is so we can get the help needed to get these out faster. We will not take payment anymore up front, just send in the brass and we will contact you when we are done with the total amount.
We will add some more options like Berger projectiles and hunting projectiles to the list and sub sonic options.
The changes will be make on the web store next week.
On the new ammo side we have made some changes when it comes to payment. We no longer take payment at purchase. We take it at the time it ships, back logs are to far back to do what we use to do so we changed that.
We will also be getting our own 308 and 260 brass made, 308 brass is about 30 to 60 days out, and the 260 is about 60 to 90 days out. We are taking pre orders for these products. We will be eliminating the Winchester 308 product and replacing it with our own head stamped brass.

Can we get any more details on that brass? How does it compair to the Wichester and other brass? How about a possible group buy on preorders or some sort of special price to get this stuff rolling?
Can we get any more details on that brass? How does it compair to the Wichester and other brass? How about a possible group buy on preorders or some sort of special price to get this stuff rolling?

I'm waiting for two orders, as stated above. Any ETA on when I can expect it to arrive? We're coming up on two months since the orders were placed and I've read where others have been waiting even longer.
so i shot sw ammos 168 grain .308 AMAX today out to 400 meters. results were excellent, we were hitting 3" poppers all the way out from prone position and i tagged every popper i aimed at. my dope matched exactly the hornady .308 168 grain zmax i usually shoot, so they seem to be pretty close in their bullett making mojo... i sighted in at 100 yrds, and they were shooting about 1moa, however they did better the farther out i shot and the more warmed up i became. it was about 30 degrees out so the fingers were kind of cold. lol, for what its worth i know i only have a few posts, but ive been on the hide for about 2 yrs now just no reason to post, but i recommend them and will continue to do business with them.
