Rifle Scopes swafa super sniper optics

Re: swafa super sniper optics

SWFA sells a shit ton of them. Most around here hold them in very high regard as far as value for the $'s spent.

Being as SWFA is the only seller of SS scopes there is no middle men. They spec them, have them built and sell them. What you are left with is a heck of alot of scope at great prices. The bang for your buck proposition with SS scopes is amazing.

If you look in the for sale section, you'll see SS scopes and very often, they don't last long before someone buys them. They tend to hold their value really well and come with a lifetime warranty which is among the best in the business.

I have a 3-9 and 5-20 which I doubt I'll ever get rid of, and a 1-6 on pre-order. It's been my experience that they are plenty good enough for my needs, & have far exceeded my expectations. Doubt I'll ever spend the bigger bucks paying 2, 3, 4 times as much on other brands. I personnally just don't see the point, but then again, I've never had the pleasure to look through and use a S&B, Premier, USO, Nightforce, etc.

The SS's get it done and if I miss, it's my fault not the glass.

Give one a try, you won't lose a ton of money if you find it doesn't meet your needs and expectations.

Re: swafa super sniper optics

Depends on what you plan to put it on, the distances you like to shoot, etc.

The 3-9 is on my AR, the 5-20 rides on my .308. The 1-6 will go on my AR and then the 3-9 will be a spare, unless I buy another rifle.

If you are only shooting out a couple hundred yds. for hunting and target shooting, the 3-9 would be plenty. The 5-20 is probably overkill for my .308 and the ranges I shoot, but since I got it on the 5-20/1-6 group buy deal I couldn't pass it up. I have absolutely no regrets buying the 5-20. It's the best glass I've ever used. Beings it's a tactical scope, it is on the heavy side for a hunting rifle, but other than that I can't find a thing about it that I don't like.

I tend to lean towards having a little more magnification than I need. I'd rather have it and be able to turn down, than need it and not have it. My eyes aren't what they used to be, so being able to crank up the power from time to time is worth it to me.

Other folks may tell you that you want around 1 power for every 100 yds you shoot. You have the option of going with a fixed power model or variable. Again, it all comes down to what you want to do, the distances you want to shoot and how much you want to spend.

Keep an eye out on the for sale section here on the hide, or check out SWFA's sample list for trade ins. You'll save anywhere from $100 - $250 generally speaking depending on model and you'll still have warranty support.

Also from time to time SWFA will do group buys or package deals that may save you some $'s. These tend to happen when a new model scope is released, and maybe around the holidays, but not always.

Re: swafa super sniper optics

Glass, turrets, warranty, reticle are very good. Combined with FFP and good eye relief, The 5-20 also has 10 mils per revolution pretty much eliminating need for a zero stop. Good optic for the money with all those features. Mine sits atop a 338 lapua.

the 10, 12, and 16x NEW mil/mil are WAY better then the old MOA scopes for the same $$$

Re: swafa super sniper optics

I can honestly say I was/am shocked at my new mil/mil 6x......

Turrets are firm, and audible, track correctly, and the glass is better than it has to be for $300.....

My 3-9 is also great. The turrets aren't as tactile, but they are accurate. I now want a 5-20.....
