This scope is only good if you have 200 confirmed bow kills and can bench 275 at the local gay concrete plant.
Spend some money on good glass, Leupold, Vortex, Nightforce and do the rifle (and your wife) justice...All those companies make quality hunting-centric scopes...Nothing worse than putting some piece of shit optic on a perfectly good rifle. See it way too often.

I've looked at their Arrowhead 1-10x24 and Kentucky Long 5-30x56. They are quite decent for the money.
They are essentially a house brand for a good size Chinese OEM that makes products for a few brands out there. If you know what to look for, you'll quickly figure out which. They have a growing facility in Colorado where they are planning to QC a fair amount of stuff.
I know Mike pretty well and I like where he is pushing the brand, but we will see how it all pans out.

How do they compare to more popular scopes? The Arrowhead is MSRP $500, which seems spendy for Chinesium when there are other LPVOs out there. Their "precision" scopes remind me of the Cabela's scopes.
For $500 Arrowhead is a very good deal. Many Chinese scopes have been moving upmarket, so the Arrowhead is nowhere near the most expensive Chinese scope.
Can you think of another serviceable 1-10x in the same general price range?

if they ever come out with a 34mm maybe id try it depending on the price ordered an arken optics instead shame it still has not arrived for the around the same cost .
They recently released the Warhawk in 34mm for just under $700. Wouldn't mind a look at the 3-15.
I would avoid buying from China whenever possible.

They are great for what they are. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to outfit everything you build with a 3000 piece of glass. Mikes a great guy too.
GRSC ? Curious because you had their 1-10 too. I like Ed's more or less "set it and forget it " reticle... Wondered how they compare
I have the GRSC scope. Since it is FFP, it is not quite apples to apples
Either way, optomechanically, Arrowhead is a notably better scope. Interestingly, GRSC works much better if you add an aperture reducer.
Once the OEM behind Swampfox has a decent FFP LPVO, I will introduce Ed to them.

I whole-heartedly agree with buying American, but it is nearly impossible for average people to not buy any products that are "made in China" -- You could never shop at Walmart, for example. .

It's impossible to not buy anything from china. Computer hardware comes to mind. It IS possible to reduce what one buys from them dramatically if one wants to. The average person can save and get something made here or in some other country that isn't china

Koshkin previously said this is a house brand of a major Chinese manufacturer that was set up for the US. Although he didn't say which, I assume it's Optisan.
It seems to me it's named after Francis Marion (aka "the Swamp Fox"), the Revolutionary War hero that is considered one of the fathers of modern guerrilla warfare tactics and whose life served in no small part as inspiration for the Mel Gibson movie "The Patriot".

The guy is being called out for buying a chinese ripoff of (in this case) American intellectual property. He's not being called out for buying an Apple phone or a Buick Envision or some other legitimate product made there.
Personally, from now on I'll do my damndest to not send one cent to that place and those people no matter what it takes.

Good to know, thankyou, I hadn't realized the Swampfox was a SFP scope.
I picked up one of the GRSC FSO scopes a while back when they were on sale as I have the earlier 1-4 and Norden 1-6 both of which I like. The 1.1X10, I have mixed feelings about, so was thinking about trying the Swampfox as a budget alternative.
I've known Ed forever and a day and I am happy to see him getting his reticle out, although this is certainly an imperfect vehicle for it. I have one of these 1-10x GRSC scopes and it stays zeroed which is the bulk of what I want from it.

I own two of the Patriots and they are a great budget scope for things like NRL22. Has some nice features like target dot and allow you to remain in base class if you choose.
I love my FFP Patriot 6-24x scope(MIL version)...it is perfect for the .22 that I shoot out to 200 yards (so far); I am waiting for the MIL version of the Kentucky Long to come out so I can get one for my .308.

Here it is on my Anschutz 64...I was going to put it on my Anschutz 1411 (54 action) but it is too damn heavy to shoot offhand with that long HEAVY barrel without a shooting coat and palm rest.

I picked up the 1-10x arrowhead a couple months ago and have been happy with it.
Looking for another scope to put on my 20” Grendel build and I’m leaning towards SF again with the 2-12x Kentucky Long FFP. They still don’t have the MIL reticle in stock so I may lose patience with waiting and grab the MOA reticle instead.
Here’s a silly but informative Torture test on the Arrowhead that was pretty impressive and significantly more damaging that the NightForce torture test.

Warhawk is sitting on my CZ455...for the price point from expertvoice, it has nice enough features to justify the purchase. I wanted it give it a try to see what it's all about..
What I like: clear glass, reticle (.2mil), objective, included accessories, illumination
What i don't like: turrets are lil mushy, locking turrets are okay at best, it did loose zero once or twice during matches...(not sure what happened for sure but we had to confirm zero to continue to shoot).
Edit: confirmed that the loss of zero was by not locking turrets and bumping it during weapon movement between stages.

I have been running several Swamp Rats for quite some time. Not quite sure how I would mount on a rifle. Also puzzled in regards to FFP/SFP. Please be aware that there is an upcharge for G10 in the custom shop. Congrats to the Busse family for taking on new challenges!
