Rifle Scopes Swarovski Z3. Anything better for the price?

The VX5hd is very similar optically, but offers a different selection of reticles and has the Zero Lock elevation turret, a bit heavier though.
If you like the reticle offering in the Z3 and really want light weight go Z3.

But for me I prefer the Leupold reticle offerings, the 5x zoom and ZL turret, so am willing to pay a little weight penalty.

I’ll second the Z3 3-10x42/BRH. Great scope. Best in class for set & forget, rugged, no-frills scopes.

My local Sportsman’s Warehouse has has the Vortex Razor HD LH 2-10x40 on closeout for $399.99– maybe a Hide vendor has a similar deal? Probably on par with the Z3 glass-wise for way less money.

If you need to dial, there are better options for the money if you don’t mind taking a small step down in glass and up in weight. SWFA 3-9 or 3-15, and Bushnell 3-12 come to mind. Vortex PST 3-15 for a big step up in weight at about the same price.

I have had a Z3 3-10x42 with BRH since they were released - have put it through some hard use chasing camels, and pigs over the years. Shoot out to 850m no worries with it and really haven’t seen anything that is as light, with equivalent quality glass in the same price range. I have just purchased a ZCO420 to replace Due to wanting to shoot out further but still don’t think I will sell it...
