The bolt handle was poking through the side of the box! Fortunately there was no real damage and the scope and mount were protected in the can.
They really look to be well put together rifles.
What gets me is.....Do they not have wind in Sweden?
Instead of "Kentucky Windage" perhaps it should be "Swedish Windage".
The Germans didn’t build windage adjustments on their scopes or K98 mounts in the 1930s-early 1940s, and that’s where the original M41 mounts came from....seems strange today but that the general pattern of their optic systems of that era.
I would be interested in that weapon..Interesting coincidence. My Uncle recently passed away and he had one. I have been trying to value it to sell it for my Aunt.View attachment 7610449
nope. the swedes used a version of the german SSR. both the ssr and the lsr had windage screws in the mount and a pivot in the front. imagine a scope with no windage dial, only elevation, mounted in a leupold style base. that is the gist of the system. the screws push the mount which pushes the crosshairs (the post, to be precise).Yep met a guy at the range firing his new to him Swede.
when he couldnt center the group I had to mention that they shimmed or otherwise adjusted the mount to get wind zero.

Have you figured it out? I have not seen on for sale in awhile. Last I saw with full kit and in vg condition was 3000 from a local guy but that has been some years ago.Interesting coincidence. I saw one that sold on GB in February for $3600 but it didn’t have the matching number scope storage can. I’d like to keep it. My Uncle told me about it all the time. I’ll probably end up listing it on GB. I have two other rifles of his on there now.Have you figured it out? I have not seen on for sale in awhile.
