Here is the M96 Swedish sniper fitted with the first of 2 indigenous scopes, the AGA42. This scope was complex to produce but effective. It was later superseded by the AGA44. The 6.5 round has been around for much longer than most young shooters realize. The Creedmoor is just the latest incarnation that fits today’s rifles. These scopes are not at all common. The Swedes were not fanatics about numbering parts where scopes and mounts were concerned. They were however, fanatical about maintenance. You will notice the disc and plaque on the stock. They indicated the most recent servicing and barrel condition. No one on earth took better care of their weapons than the Swedes.
