This is the site to ask this question, how is the overall quality of the swfa super sniper scopes.Ive been looking for a long range tactical scope, some are very expensive and some not so expensive need some opinions thanks...

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

It really depends on which model you're talking about, your budget and of course intended application. The standard 10x models are "good enough" for most purposes when you're on a tight budget. I have one on an issued .50 cal and it works, but it leaves me wanting more on most occasions when stretching its legs on a hot or dusty day. At least it's accurate and durable.

I personally have the 3-9x and it is a really high quality scope at that price point, but it still has faults such as tunneling on the low end. Very soon I will soon be ordering a 1-4x HD for my carbine.

I'm also one of those eagerly anticipating the full release of the 5-20x. That model looks to be what many shooters have been looking for and patiently awaiting.

The model im looking at is the super sniper 20X42 tactical.I will be using it for long range 600 to 1000 yards.

You would do better with the 10x or 16x.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

If you are looking for comparable scopes in that price range, I think the SS scopes are great. I own a 1-4 and a friend has a 10x. Both have performed very well, and are built tough. SWFA is top notch with customer service as well.

If money wasnt a issue what brand of tactical long range scope would you look at and how would it compare to the super sniper scopes quality.

The SS is about the best deal going for its price point imho. </div></div>

+1

After running the base model 10x42 with side parallax adjustment, I think you will find it to be a great scope. As noted, the turrets are repeatable, the glass is good and its just a solid scope. SWFA is good to go also.

I'm sure I'm not alone in the fact that money does mean something. Regardless of the amount being spent, you have to feel like you are getting good value for your dollar, right?

Above a certain point (dollar wise) is can be argued that you can spend a boat load more but you are getting diminishing returns. If you can justify that to yourself and can afford it, by all means pull the trigger and buy something else. Whatever gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

SS scopes are go to go in my book. I have a 3x9. Someday I hope to add another one to the stable. Would I like to have a Nightforce, USO, or S&B? Sure, but at the end of the day it came down to cost and value. With many other brands (IMHO) you are paying for name recognition, dealer networks, etc.

With SWFA as the only seller, you don't have the middle men. What you do get is great value because they can afford to sell for less. Does this mean they are a cheaper scope? No, it means with the business model they choose to operate under, they can bring scopes to market that should cost more, but luckily for us they don't!

Rugged, dependable, repeatable, great warranty, and high value would be just a few of the words I'd use to describe SS scopes. Most models have been out awhile and also have a proven track record.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

I have two 20X and use them for Fclass to 1000yds, they both work great, I have several friends with all kinds of SS and we are all happy with them
I am currently saving for their new 5-20HD, it will go nicely on an 6MM AR upper, for 600 and under Fclass matches.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

I own four SS scopes. An orignal Super Sniper 10X which I use out to 1000 yards. This scope is nine years old. I have two of the SS 3-9X42 scopes and a SS 1-4x24 HD. I have had no problems at all with these scopes. I'm currently figuring out how I can afford oneof their new SS 5-2-X50 HD scopes. SWFA consistantly offers the best value on the market.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

Have no fear, any one you buy you can depend upon. I have 3 right now, had 4 but sold one. Soon will be adding another to my collection.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

All I can go off of is the 16x SS i used on my sps. Tact. No, it's not illuminated, No it doesn't have zero stop, and No it won't gently massage your testicles like a S&B after shooting a group. But it's tough as nails and works. And at their price point, they are very solid scopes.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

I have several of them and have been quite satisfied with them. There are basically two series one is the older style that has quarter MOA adjustments in 6 or 10 or 16 or 20 and for a tad under 300 they are a solid bargain and quite useful and reliable. The newer models are tenth mil per click and the glass is superb and the adjustments quite good so I strongly recommend these if your budget will allow.

Re: SWFA Super Sniper Scopes quality ??

I think thats the way im going to go with the super sniper.Where are these scopes made, for the price im assumimg they are made overseas,I like to purchase items that are made here in the USA but the way things are alot of products are made overseas which is a shame.
