The last 13th of August in Rothenthurm I attended with other 17 team to the Swiss Gallinago Trophy 2011, sniper tactical competition for military/law enforcement and qualified civilian team, briefing at 6.45 AM, total 24 stages till 18.00 PM.
Time was very important not only for every single stage time management but also from one stage to the other... for the first 10 stages the allowed time was from 7 A.M to 11.45.
No possibility for external help all your equipment with you, 150 .308 rounds and 50 rounds for pistol mine was .45 ACP.
rifle, water, same snaks, vest to load everythings, range finder, kestrel, ballistic back up table, spotting scope with tripod, ghillie suit and maintanance kit.
if you are not able to maintain a good average during transfer you could go over time.
first stage cold bore shots, 5 shots at 300 meters with electronic control, 15 minutes for the exercise, to reach the shooting place about 600 meters with the last 200 meters in a very steep climb, 5 shoots and then other 250 meters to reach the end place, in descend but was sleepy and and steep.

3 stage, 4 minutes to look some targets from 150 m to 450 m, then the staff gave us 3 pictures, 2 minutes to search and engage a very little steel target near the picture down range, I was able to to hit 2 of them at 450 m

in this stage 4 minutes preparation time, the sniper must be in contact with spotter only with headset with radio and mic, same thing search and hit 3 target in 2 minutes, but no picture available only a write description like, male, black, no hair, blonde women with glasses ecc ecc.
one target it at 450 meters..... with my 12x is impossible to see clearly the target, also the moving steel target are veri small 25x25 cm.
