I wonder if the weight reduction wasn't the result of an aluminum tube? It sounds like they integrated the clamshell halves of the sparrow which would imply a tube OD the same as the Sparrow as well.
I have a spectra II pending. It was kinda funny the dealer didnt have much info so I called SWR directly. They told me it is still all SS and does not use the inner clam shell design of the sparrow.

When they say "baffle protects the tube from fouling" they must then mean that it is no longer an Omega but is now a frusto conical baffle with assymetry like a miniature version of the SWR Spec War baffle.
I also would like to see some comparisons of the Specter vs the new one. I love the original and do not regret the purchase, just looking to see if I need to add the brother to the collection...
