T1x pic rail options

The area419 products are top notch.

I don't have a t1x, but I have both the egw and area419 t3x rails and when I needed a third rail I went with another area419 rail. Just my experience with similar products FWIW.

I agree, they are a top shelf manufacturer of solutions. While I have EGW bases on my other Tikka T3x's, I have an Area 419 arca bipod mount, and it's beautiful. I thought it was the ultimate mount until i found out about the RRS mount that does arca and Pic, hence my question before I order.

I saw that, but had never heard of them. Any first hand knowledge regarding their quality?

A lot of people on the T1X thread have DIP bolt knobs and DIP rails. I have the rail and the Sterk bolt knob. I have no problem with it at all. Works great --

I bought the DIP 0 moa rail (my scope has a ballistic reticle). Great quality, installed perfectly and the rifle has been a laser with several different types of pretty cheap ammo.

New LH T1x owner. These rails all look good, probably will get a 419 or DIP when I upgrade to an XLR chassis to match my t3x.

For the time being, staying in the factory stock, which has no cheek riser. And I have a 30mm Vortex Razor HD LHT 3-15x42 scope I plan to use on it.

In the factory stock, with the Vortex: Am I better off avoiding a pic rail and just going with something like the one-piece Talley mounts, since it'll keep the scope height closer to the bore and a solid cheek weld?

A pic rail with 1" high rings will be fine in factory stock, lower will of course work too

Got a DIP rail, mounted everything today for LH T1x. Used some old EGW 30mm "low" (0.850) rings, they worked fine for the scope which is an Athlon 4-20x50.

As far as cheek weld, it's a bit high, but right on the upper edge of solid. I'll try shooting with it, and if needs more height may just get the foam/wrap solution as suggested earlier, or an inexpensive stock pack with a pad.
