Tac Ops Rifles

Yeah, I got my Delta to beat like a rented mule ;-). I don't really have any collectors pieces... and I know a pristine Tac Ops could very well be that in a few years... but, damn... I didn't get it for that. I already outlined what I would do if I didn't have to try and explain it to my wife, ha. At some point, though, she'd notice them multiplying in the safe... and she might be inclined to know more specifically what they cost other than simply "less than your ring, dear." The trick would be to buy "for her" - I just haven't correctly set conditions for that yet!

By the end of the year I'll be at 3 and a suppressor.

I'm certain someone has 8-10 in their safes

I finally joined the club last week!
I found a local gun auction that had a "REMINGTON 700 TANGO 51 308CAL". The listing only had two pictures that did not have much fine detail. I recognized the rifle as a Tac Ops instantly. There was a week of online bidding starting at 0.00$ before the auction went live in person. I arrived an hour before the lots started to take a look at the items up for auction. I examined the rifle and my anxiety started to build as I wondered if anyone else knew what a gem was soon up for bid!
The lot opened with a high bid online at 1700$ bid increments were 100$ and I bid the rifle to 2000$ even. I spent the prior week trying not to get my hopes up so I was ready for the bid to run up to a realistic market value. To my shock and amazement my bid at 2000$ held and after what felt like forever, I won at 2000$!
I completed the checkout process (4473 and cash payment plus 7.25% sales tax) and ended up bidding and buying a Les Baer 1911 for good measure.
I have known about Tactical Operations Rifles and have dreamed of owning one for a very long time. I was thrilled to see one in a random local gun auction and floored that I was able to buy it the way I did.
The rifle is amazing! I have had some Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr. In the back of my ammo cabinet for a while, so all I need is a new optic!

Damn, what a score!

That scope base doesn't look like it came from TacOps, so not sure what happened there.

But amazing price for a TacOps!

Everyone bidding probably saw “rem 700” and then thought it probably wasn’t worth as much as a “full custom”
