Love seeing the pics posted here of reticles etc and until today had never tried. Are you guys doing that with some kind of special camera? When I put my iPhone up regardless of zoom level the phone just struggles refocusing and it's a blur. Looking right dead nuts down the tube. Are there certain settings I need to tweak to get a pic done looking through a scope with a phone or is it not happening with phone camera? Use small words I'm have stoopits.

You just need to have it lined up properly and then focus on what its seeing. It should be putting the image beyond the scope and the reticle on the same focal plane so all you need to do it line it up. Which is much harder said than done.

Zooming in a bit so the scope more fully fills the cameras view is a big help to in that it wont try to focus on whats outside of the scopes view.

Setting it on the stock and angling as needed allows for a more sturdy hold rather than trying to float out in space.

And just for fun lets see if this video embeds lol

The new multi-camera iPhone can be a pain in the ass, it tries switching cameras.

    Single-lens phones are easier

Some guys use the Phone Skope adapter, others are just really good at taking it by hand.

If you want to shoot the rifle and film through the Scope, the Phone Skope is the trick.
Ah ok. It's an older 6sPlus and I was just going to take a pic and send to a buddy of my boring view during a conference call.....dry fire practice down my street out of my garage off truck hood. Thought it would be easy peasey....not so far.

Should I be on max/min zoom? I turned flash off....it's an SWFA 12x if that matters so I can't back off mag on glass.

Not idiot error, just takes some practice to get the feel. You need to not only have it at the proper distance back but also correct up and down, left and right as well as angle to get the camera lenses perfectly in line with the scopes lenses. Sitting in a deer blind for a few seasons gets you plenty of time and practice to good at it lol

And he will be getting culled hopefully this upcoming weekend lol. Most my buck pictures are making a hit list to show others what to target. Big old 8s need a dirt nap.

I've been told there are camera apps that can lock in one of the lenses that may help but I have not tried it yet.

You'd cry in FL your does are bigger than our bucks in the rut. They look like Labrador Retrievers that got a tongue depressor stuck on it's head.

Post when you start rolling them. Are they chasing the poon in TX? It's probably another month b/f they get tuned up here.

They are in central texas, some good fights going on already, but as of two weeks ago down south where I actually hunt they were still grouped up as shown here where I had 3 10 pointers in a 20 yard area.

This guy is #1 on my list though and he was with the 2 other better bucks at the feeder. He isn’t bad and has some character but he was dwarfed by a deer half his age.

I have a phone scope for my spotting scope and its actually pretty awesome. But the spotting scope isnt deer blind friendly. I hope to get some long range coyote whacks with it this weekend as well. For in the blind just holding the phone on the stock is good to go for quick pics once you figure out how to contort your hands to use three thumbs.
