Hunting & Fishing Talbot Co. Ga 9 Pointer

Got him yesterday evening just before dark. He came out in a food plot running does. Ran them off then came back by himself to feed. Shot him about 170 yards with a 120 amax from my APA 6.5 Lapua. He only took 3 bounds and fell over dead!

He has a forked G2 on his right side. Its hard to see from the pics.

Nice....I took a smaller 9 over in Upson the other day, great part of GA to hunt in. Congrats.

Nice buck. We've had two good bucks taken off our lease in Harris County this year so far. Actually saw some rut activity last weekend.

We are headed back down that weekend after thanksgiving. Probably won't see much rut activity then but maybe we will get lucky. It did seem about a week off this year.

Okay. so my deer pales in comparison to by buddies. He shot this 9 pointer on Sunday am. I saw it but it was too dark to shoot....scored 132 and some change.

Georgia gets better every year. The practice of letting the young bucks walk is becoming the norm and it is getting more common to see these nice deer.

Used to hunt in Talbot in 1990. It was nice then. Can't imagine how big they are getting now. Great buck.
