Who offers the tallest 223 ammo box? I developed a load for the new nosler 53gr but they are so long that I have to leave the edges of the box empty other wise I cant get the box to close. Thats with both cabelas 50 round and mtm 100 round boxes.

Are people just stepping up to the larger boxes? Id rather avoid using a box that is so large that I would have to dump all the brass to get a single fired piece out (like all my others, 3006 sized and so on). And I dont like the thought of buying a nondivided bulk box or individual cloth binders.

I do not have your answer yet but am interested in this general subject also. I get it that ammunition box mfgs. use SAAMI specs and for a good reason. However, there are nut cases that load long for a reason and could use an option such as you are looking for.

I am seriously looking at using ammo wallets for my single feed loads, but still like the convenience of moving my hand to the right a bit for a new round from the ammo box and feeding it without moving my head on the rifle.

Lazy, I know. Sue me.

Think this is an old MTM box . 80 VLD loaded to 2.590 oal .
Im using Waters Rifleman mags to feed these in a Tikka .

Shit. Looks like my boxes are all cabelas. I must have inadvertently swapped my 100 round mtm shadow box with my buddy's who I'm helping to learn reload when I grabbed one off the shelf. Maybe the mtm will work just fine. I'll find out this weekend. Stupid mistake and spoke too early.

It looks like the MTM H-50 series will do the trick for me.

It does look to be the best, Im going to take a couple test rounds into cabelas this weekend and see what has the most headroom between all of those they have there and compare what fits to whats advertised online as the length
