I'm thinking about trying a pair of Talley one-piece scope ring and bases on a Remington 700 hunting rifle that I'm trying to keep as light as possible.

Anyone have a pic of these rings and bases on their M700? Also, can you tell me if the front and/or rear base is reversible? In other words, can it be turned 180 degrees so the ring contacts the scope tube in a different spot?

    Thanks

not sure on the reversible, but as long as it doesn't interfere with the port, you can do whatever you want with the front since the action is round in front.

The pair of these weigh roughly 3 oz., so you can't go wrong on a lightweight. THE go to setup on a light rifle, like an alaskan or mountain rifle, IMHO.

I'm running a 1pc redfield base on my rifle, with the turn in rings, but I will be shedding it in favor of talleys because it's about the only place I can cut weight at this juncture in its life.
