How usable in the gen 3xr in the 3-15 and would you say you can use it on a light weight hunting rig ?

They are amazing scopes but at 36 ounces they are one of the heaviest scopes on the market.

I believe this is a 315M and is 27-28 ounces. For sure could use it on a hunting rifle.

Correct this is a 315M. Definitely could use it on a hunting rifle. To my eyes you can use the subtensions on the reticle through most of the magnification range.
