Unofficially, from a friend: glass quality is the same and same temperature, what you would expect from Tangent. Slight FOV changes at similar magnification. Now that you can go to 35x, the 3xr Fine actually looks "thick." Since tangent is known for too thin on reticles on lower mag.So is this thread about the TT 7-35 or about all the other brands? Come on guys, I want to hear more about the 7-35. How does it compare to the 5-25. I really don't care much about the warranty issue, it happens, I just bought a brand new Nikon Z8 and am now waiting to use my awesome camera because it had to be shipped back to Nikon for a warranty recall, a PITA yes, but I will still buy Nikon, doesn't change how good their gear is. @koshkin (ILya) is doing a review soon on his locals channel (https://darklordofoptics.locals.com/) with the TT 7-35, SB 6-36, ZCO 8-40 with baseline scopes of the TT 5-25 and Razor G3 6-36 - that is one review I am looking forward to. I'd love to hear from others who own these scopes and your thoughts so far...
Shooooot I need to clear $6K/week, what do you do?If that’s gross, nevermind.
Where can I get a bunch of free bitcoin?I heard you could make good money on OnlyFans...
I happen to love the Gen 3XR just the way it is, not too thick or too thin. I think biggest benefit will come from rimfire shooters needing that close focus distance and can actually benefit from the higher mag, for distance shooters the 5-25 is more than enough and I don’t see a lot of them changing out unless the 7-35 has a distinct eyebox and/or DOF advantage which doesn’t sound like is the case.Unofficially, from a friend: glass quality is the same and same temperature, what you would expect from Tangent. I'm personally waiting for JTAC reticle.
I had to send two back…One was returned to me with a different reticle installed but same serial number body. Point here is no one is perfect and they are all man made regardless of the cost. They promptly took care of it.My buddy just received his TT 7-35 earlier this week just to send it back. His quote “ I don’t remember sending any of my NF scopes back”,, is NF the only manufacturer that does a 70 plus point QC inspection before sending out a scope?

The longer you play in this hobby you will have shit go bad on all kinds of things. My list is long, but I have only had one company hang me out to dry with taking care of an issue. It was a very small drop in the bucket considering all the shit I have had go in and out throughout the years.
Mine got overnighted from ca, should have been here today... but brown screwed up
Big strike coming I hearBrown might be down and out in another week lol.
Email or call armament and I bet Crystal will overnight it back to you.Sent mine back pretty quick after the recall. It arrived there on 7/12, per customer service. Have yet to hear anything since. Hoping I do soon.
Thanks. I emailed her on the 17th requesting a possible timeframe for it being returned. No response as of yet. Giving her the benefit of the doubt since customer service has been very good so far.Email or call armament and I bet Crystal will overnight it back to you.

It is still comingHas @koshkin ever reviewed the S&B 6-36 and TT 7-35? I just paid $80 for a membership to his locals site and I’m not easily able to navigate to it if it’s there….
Yes but imagine paying $5K-6K or whatever it costs for a Theta when that happens like a certain dumbass I know. You should scoop him with Dogtowns scope
Like a typical bad consumer, I’m reading all about them AFTER purchasing the second one
Anyone else worried that when the new uncluttered reticle comes out and the patent expires that our genius purchases of the $3800 limited FOV GR2iD cluttered reticles will lose market share and become obsolete or more likely lose half their value?
Hey, I know that guy tooYes but imagine paying $5K-6K or whatever it costs for a Theta when that happens like a certain dumbass I know.
He is already done with his testing, I think he is just waiting for time to put the video all together. You should scoop him with Dogtowns scope

I think that is a valid concern, but it is a very gray area as to when the patent will be up in the USA and how long it will take for that to make an impact on designs. Maybe it is 2026 but maybe not, early review of the patent showed it might be as long as 2030 and that feels like forever from now. Reticle won't make much of a difference as you can always swap reticles and there are plenty who prefer GR2ID and/or P5FL, but the wider FOV will make a big difference. I am pretty confident that Schmidt won't just start shipping wider FOV versions of their scopes to the USA once the patent officially ends but will likely wait until existing stock has dwindled enough, might we see additional price drops, maybe, but since Schmidt has a history of raising prices for the USA market by the time that comes it is likely the existing 6-36 will be street price well above where it is now. Once the full FOV versions of these scopes start shipping to the USA (no guarantee they will as Schmidt has a history of screwing with the USA market) it will have an impact on resale prices of the neutered version, but how much of an impact is the question, I do not think it will be as much as half their value but more likely a few hundred. Right now Kahles has both a standard narrow FOV K525i as well as their wide FOV K525i DLR, they still sell both and maybe Schmidt will do the same. Schmidt USA might also offer to remove the field stop that is currently in the USA version (assuming it is not machined into the tube but just glued in) which would also help with resale value.Anyone else worried that when the new uncluttered reticle comes out and the patent expires that our genius purchases of the $3800 limited FOV GR2iD cluttered reticles will lose market share and become obsolete or more likely lose half their value?
I would check out the 3-28 kahles. You won't get uncucked TT, zco or S&B in the US until 2026 and they will all take a massive resale dive when that happens as people try to upgrade to increased FOV models. The k328 and belive it or not, gen 3 razor should hold steady.Any new info on there TT 7-35x?
3 scopes in the running are the TT 7-35, TT 5-25 and SB 6-36x
Thanks,
Scott

Well worth the trip. We were in showroom a few weeks ago and the fov on that thing blows you away.I have a Kahles 6-24i and like it a lot, but kind of written Kahles off after buying TT 5-25 and S&B, but the specs on the new 3-28x are very compelling. I'll have to go to Eurooptic and add another optic to the side by side.
Thanks,
Scott
absolutely, that showroom is incredible.Well worth the trip. We were in showroom a few weeks ago and the fov on that thing blows you away.
I have to apologize to everyone, I've taken a hiatus from the Hide as I needed the break with everything else going on in life right now. This has also delayed the release of my alpha class 35/36x review, but long story short, the TT 7-35x56 is the best scope on the market today, bar none, simply phenomenal in every aspect, you get what you pay for. That said, the price of entry is more than most can stomach so there are plenty of other great options to choose from, but if money is no object and you want the absolutely best then look no further than the TT 7-35...Any new info on there TT 7-35x?

Well thanks for saying that, I'm not perfect, but it is for the community that I do this stuff and hope it benefits others.Bill, no need to apologize, you do so much research for this site, and there is a huge wealth of info because of you.
Thanks for the long story short about the 7-35x. I'll have to check it out now. The biggest drawback, besides the price, is needing 36mm rings or a mount, but I guess that helps with the optical performance enough to not whine about 36mm rings.
Thanks again,
Scott
Wait, I’m gonna need to get a hint on where you’re shooting out to 1.5 miles. Unless you moved very recently, we’re in the same basic locale.Well thanks for saying that, I'm not perfect, but it is for the community that I do this stuff and hope it benefits others.
One other thing I would point out, if you already own a TT 5-25 and you mostly do dynamic long range shooting I do not see a huge advantage in the 7-35, yes, slight increases all around but not enough to dump the 5-25 and think you're getting so much more with the 7-35. Where the 7-35 really shines is for shorter range stuff, like rimfire competition where close up and higher magnifications can be taken advantage of. The greatest enemy of long distance shooting is heat refraction (commonly referred to as mirage) and as good as TT "cuts through mirage" (it doesn't actually, but the higher end optics offer attributes that help in these difficult atmospheric conditions) you simply can't get away from that effect. For this reason, even the best scopes still struggle above 20x in conditions where heat refraction is wreaking havoc on your target. Shooting out to 1.5 miles I have found on most days 16x offers a good balance of target acquisition and shot placement. The TT 5-25 is still an outstanding performer so unless you have money to burn or your shooting style offers greater than 25x benefits, then the TT 5-25 is still a top choice and even a better choice in certain circumstances.

ZCO hat, Tangent scope. Lol
It's the ultimate flex....ZCO hat, Tangent scope. Lol
Thanks man, it does.@M8541Reaper,
I have both TT scopes and the respective TT525P DFAT variant. I did not swap the Tenebraex caps to try them on the other scope. However, I can confirm that the DFAT for the TT525P also works thread-wise on the TT735P. Hope this helps.
Still in the panhandle, but every year travel out to Kansas with some friends to do ELR shoot, sadly I don't think I'm going to make this yearAh, no more FL panhandle.
