Tavor X95- Has anyone copied the charging handle slot from the Tavor 7 for bolt hold open with one hand?

Has anyone tried making this cut on a X95 so its easier to lock the bolt to the rear?

The process I would use with only a hand drill and no dremel is just to drill out most of the material and finish it with a file/sandpaper. I might not even have to remove the barrel assembly.

Is that all polymer? I’d bet There’s a reason that area is reinforced...
Yea its all polymer, most likely a glass reinforced nylon and its 1/4 in thick. I could add reinforcing material myself but there would be very little force in the slot since it will just be holding the charging handle.

But if I would reinforce it I'd use a piece of aluminum and melt it into the polymer with a soldering iron like a helicoil thread insert. I could use an epoxy of some sort but it wouldn't be as permanent, plus I won't have to wait for it to cure
