How efficient are the TBAC 30ba break, compared to a vias break on a 300wm. Would this be a comparable switch or should I wait for the cb model break and get an adapter.

The new CB brakes are suppose to be 30% more efficient then the old design. I would imagine it is as efficient as a Surefire or Silencerco brake.

I'll be able to give a direct comparison when my CB9 ships in 2-3 weeks!

I have the old style brakes on my .308, 6.5 creedmoor, and 300 win mag in preparation for my 30ba. I have never had a problem tracking a shot to impact with these on my rifles. As far as felt recoil goes, I cannot accurately compare the two, but the BA style brakes have been more than adequate for me. The only downside I can think of is they are kinda fugly, but form follows function I guess.

MLC, So sorry for the incorrect spelling I'm sure the intent of post was understood, as was it by you, triggering your overwhelming need to correct me. I will be more careful in the future. After all we are like minded individuals, gathering in fellowship to share information and experiences with our fellow man. I would hate to think a simple issue like, for instance a misspelled word would shake the idea of everyone's mutually appreciated benefit of the doubt.
My father's best advise to me was: never correct someone unless their life is in danger.
I use that everyday and it has served me well

I've never shot a VAIS brake, but I have shot other "ported" / "hole" style designs. In "general" the ported/hole style brakes are less effective than the more modern style of brakes that have larger, slot-shaped holes or have impact "plates". This class of brakes would include our BA, CB, the Barrett factory brakes, the AI factory .338 and .50BMG brakes, the Armalite .50 brake, the Badger FTE style, etc. In general, the effectiveness of each brake amongst this general style is proportional to the amount of surface area on the impact places, and to some extent the angle of the reflecting surfaces. Again having not shot the VAIS specifically, but having shot other ported/hole style brakes, I would expect the CB to reduce recoil better.
