Looking to buy several more cans. Mainly for 6.5 up to 300nm. Have Omegas. Is Thunder Beast essentially as good as it gets for precision rifle? Just making sure before looking for dealers.
My guns have several type threads, even odd Gap 1/2x32, so interchangeability is necessary and prefer direct thread mostly

First I bought a 30P-1 direct thread. Love it, use it from 22-250 up to 300wm. Every rifle shot a little better with it on. Second TBAC can i bought was a Ultra7 .30cal with the CB brake mount. I use that mostly on my 6.5CM and 308. The CB mount is much nicer than a traditional direct thread, and it stays on. Accuracy again is a little better with it on. I am super happy and think if you go with a ultra series CB mount you will not regret it.

Nothing compares to them right now in accuracy and sound abatement. And they make quick detachments in multiple patterns. I use my Ultra 7 on my 223 (1/2") for team matches and it performs flawlessly. Back to my match rifle for PRS style matches (5/8" break adpter)

I have a ultra 7 6.5 ordered to use for my bolt 6.5 but was wondering how suppression would be on my ar 5.56? Is it hearing safe? Can u shoot without protection?

It'll sound good, but not technically hearing safe in the strict sense. Am I going to shoot without earpro when I get my ultra 9 out? You betcha. Probably a lot.

The cool thing about hearing protection...the less you use it the less you need it! ha

in all seriousness, the thing to understand about suppressors is they suppress the muzzle blast, ie "report" of the powder burning. they do not suppress the sonic crack of the bullet breaking the sound barrier. This can still cause hearing damage. Unless you are shooting subs I highly recommend hearing protection, as I think any suppressor manufacture would also recommend.

It is night and day difference though, and for hunting situations where I might shoot once or twice, I have no problem not using hearing protection. I cant believe I used to hunt with a break and no protection. lol dumb dumb dumb...

I've got six of their cans, from the 30P-1 thru current, I think the CB design will suit you better. You can buy a 1/2-28 brake and 5/8-24, or a metric pitch and use the same can on several barrels. Also, the can threads onto a larger brake easier than threading onto a single sized smaller barrel. You put an ultra 9" 6.5 on a 26" .260 and it's pretty far and quiet. A shorter Ultra 7 30 cal can on a short 22-250, I would imagine a lot louder.

I have a TBAC Ultra 9 and it sounds amazing and shoots the same group size with it on as it does if I shoot with out it.
I use the new Area 419 universal adapters along with their new Hellfire CB mount.

The 1st suppressor I bought was quiet enough, but was a POS when it came to POI repeatability. I'd get a rifle all centered up at 600yds with it, then remove & reinstall, being very careful to use the same index mark as before, and POI would shift at least 1 MOA, every time.

Sat that can aside & bought a TBAC 30BA - what a difference! Just as quiet, but accuracy was never less on any rifle with can mounted than without, and in several cases, was actually better with the can. Year later, bought a 30CB9 - same or slightly better results. Bought an Ultra 7 when they were announced, and also sent the 30BA back to get it re-cored with the Ultra 9 baffle stack & CB mount. Could not be more satisfied with all three of these cans, and TBAC's offer on the Ultra re-core was well worth the price charged.

Oh yeah - got lucky and found a class III dealer who was looking for the correct can for his SCAR 17 - was able to trade him that 1st can for a SF SOCOM 762. It's not as quiet as the TBACs, but it's accuracy & repeatability is a huge improvement over the can it replaced.

Yes. They're essentially the most quiet, light weight, repeatable cans on the market, and that's just the product. Not accounting for their stellar CS and reputation there of. There's a reason they're considered the gold standard.

I had TROS make me a couple custom 1/2x32 to 5/8x24 adapters for my GAP rifles. They work great with the CB attachment!

I had someone the other day try to talk me out of a TBAC Ultra 7 6.5 for a Silencerco Harvester. I think the TB mount is great and the weight is even better. Personally I don't think the Harvester is even close in comparison to the TBAC cans.

I have the direct thread .30 cal Ultra 7 that I swap between a 24" 6.5 and 20" 308, honestly I couldn't ask for a better suppressor. It is perfectly repeatable, very quiet, and improved accuracy for this shooter.

I should at that's also very light. This makes a big difference in handling when compared to heavier cans.

My first can was a 30BA and loved it. Repeatability was spot on and just by listening with the naked ear, it sounded quieter than most. Was so satisfied I bought a Ultra 9 CB. I don't have access to a db meter but it sounds even quieter. Even though the CB is a dual chamber and should in theory help mid agate felt recoil more, I almost think they are comparable to the older BA version. Overall, I would not think twice about picking one up.

Mine see use on my 7mm mag, 308 bolt and AR-10 as well as 260.

The Harvester is a really good can in its price range and feature set. I have one and really like it. It isn't a Thunderbeast though.

I love my TBAC ultra 9, I had only shot a Gemtech HVT I think is the name before and liked it. It was a consistent poi shift but was a large poi shift.
When I put my Ultra 9 on I had my logbook ready to get a detailed account of poi shift, I shot 3 shots without, put it on and shot three more into the same group. Like many others, my groups improved slightly as well.
You get what you pay for and TBAC is the best in my book. Light, accurate, quiet, and repeatable.

I also have a ultra 9 and can't say enough about it... the real game changer is the Area 419 adapters you can swap from Can to break in no time and it's much cheaper then buying a bunch of breaks. Both Thunder beast and Area 419 are great to do business with!

My first can was a 30P-1. It is an awesome can and I still love it. When the Ultra series came out, I jumped on a 6.5 Ultra 7, then the 22 Takedown, and now I have another 6.5 Ultra 7 and a Ultra 338 waiting on my form 4s to go through. I've been using the ultra 7 on my PRS rifle and picked up the 2nd one to have a matching backup rifle ready to go and practice with. Only problem I have now is that I might be tempted to run the ultra 338 on my PRS stuff and have to wait on another form 4. There are a few cans out there that might be as good as some of the TBAC cans but I have not seen any that we're better and definitely not supported with customer service as good as TBAC.

My TBAC Ultra 9 just got approved but I'm on my buddies trust and have used his ultra 9 on my rifles. I could not be happier. The CS at TBAC is icing on the proverbial cake. I went with the QD mount. I'm a fan of going that route because once it's mounted you have TBAC metal,specs and thread meshing together. Just my take.
