I have been using an A-Alpha half shell this past year for my ITT Pinnacle Night Enforcer PVS-14s, started out with a Nortoros USGI Rhino mount and later got a Wilcox L-4 which I really like using a Nortoros Dual Dovetail Adapter, excellent setup!

However, after using this helmet for hours on end, when I was at the TNVC Booth at the Shot Show in Vegas, I got to try on the Team Wendy Exfil Carbon Fiber helmet and really liked this allot. When I returned home I immediately ordered the Team Wendy Exfil and a Nortoros INVG mount for this unit.

I already had a couple of EagleTac 3,400mW IR LED flashlights, Olight M-20 Crimson RED LED flashlights, some Princeton Tec Red and IR lights and some EOG battery holders so it was easy to equip the Team Wendy helmet with all the gear that I had been using and need to use.

This helmet fits and wears excellent for hours on end. The entire helmet and mounting equipment is just perfect for my long excursions out into the woods at night on our hunts.

The adjustments of the Nortoros INVG mounts and the instant lock down on the Team Wendy Exfil feels really great and is a MAJOR improvement over my other helmet setup, which now can be a loaner unit for our friends we invite out with us.

Here are some pics and a big thanks to Vic and Kyle @ TNVC for helping me put this together!

Re: Team Wendy Exfil Helmet

Does the skull cap hold it in place while keeping the tension on the chin at a minimum? I'm really tired of jaw fatigue and headaches from my current set up. Do the holes in the helmet and padding allow enough hot air out to keep your head cool?

Re: Team Wendy Exfil Helmet

I have a ach 3 high cut helmet with the Team Wendy CAM-FIT Chinstrap Retention System which is the best on the market. It holds your head, chin and neck without any movement .I also have the team Wendy pads which are very comfortable to wear also.

Yes to all, it is a very professional setup.

Re: Team Wendy Exfil Helmet

Thank you...Glad you the Team Wendy melon covers Skypup. We sell a big number of these for a reason with oustanding results in the forn, fit and comfort. Plus they look great all outfitted as you depicted.

Re: Team Wendy Exfil Helmet

Being able to instantly rotate that Nortoros INVG mount out to the left from my non-dominate eye allows complete and instant unobstructed access to my Thermal/NV scope with my dominate eye.

Very nice indeed!!

Recently got to put a good 20 hours on a Ops Core Carbon Helmet . Have you compared the Two ? ( Exfil Helmet -Vs- Ops Core Carbon )
And if so . Did you get a feel for any differences in how they ride & feel of fit for extended hours in the field ?
.

I have not tried out an Ops-Core as of yet, but I hear they are nice too. I really like the Team Wendy liner and the Boa closure system, fits very nice. In fact I call this rig my Bayer Helmet because I no longer need some aspirin after wearing it for a couple of hours while out hunting, very comfortable and yet tight fitting. This was an upgrade from my A-Alpha hemet, I did put the Team Wendy Zorbium liners in my A-Alpha and that improved the long term comfort quite a bit and I would recommend that addition for use on the A-Alpha. I still have the A-Alpha and lend it out to friends, but I am wearing the EXFIL myself!

The Ops Core Carbon is real light & no flex/ridged Shell . But The Exfil Helmet looks to be pretty ridged & light also . I will eventually get my hands on one & try one out .
Real hard for me to make judgments calls on Helmets because everyone heads are a different shape & sizes .And one person might have a whole different interpretation from another after wearing same helmet .

I hear you, Man once I started using that system with the rear Adj. knob I cant hardly go back to the old 4-point system .
It's adaptive to shape & I LOVE the fact that when your standing & watching for a extended period of time you can just turn it a little looser for comfort Fit & there's no CRUNCH FATIGUE on the skull . But if your on the move you just quickly crank it tight & hike & move around it stays pretty pretty good without much maintenance . Hunting can be hard enough at night & now Easy to go for hours @ night with added comfort that I deserve .
& you add a nice rear counter weight system on these new light weight helmets & harness systems that are out now, It like a whole new world . Now I am really digging Not getting that frontal lobe pain pinch after several hours of helmet . Or waking up in the morning & not feeling any soreness in the neck .
PLUS: This Winter . This new type helmet harness system really adapts to & makes it easy to wear hoods & head cover when it is freezing cold & windy out .
.

I have all three helmets mentioned here. All are good, but for long term wearing the Wendys beats the others hands down. It is their lining system and that Boa system they use. Very nice and vey easy to use and adjust. I read where you can put the wendys system on an ops core. That would solve the ops core problem for me. When ordering the Wendys talk to your supplier about sizing, I had to go up one size in order to get the chin strap to fit comfortably with some adjustment left.

Gotta tell ya Skypup-have you ever just scared one of those pigs to death when they saw you coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What brand is your helmet light that is on the side and looks like it is about a two inch flex light ?

One of the lights, the one on my right side looking forward from my eyes, is a visible red Olight M-20 Crimson RED LED with the CREE XPE-R2 RED LED.

Olight M20 Crimson with XPE R2 Red LED, 105 Lumens, 1 x 18650, 2 x CR123A or 2 x RCR123 Batteries

The other light is an EagleTac T100C2 MKII - IR (Infrared 850nm) 3.4W flashlight using an OSRAM IR LED:

EagleTac T100C2 MKII

Both of these lights runs for hours and hours on a recharageable lithium-ion 18650 and they each have monentary On-Off buttons to allow short flashes too, which is very helpful out hog hunting.
