Templar Action Rock

My father wants me to order him a rifle in 7wsm. He prefers a more traditional look. A Rock popped in my head. I've always been intrigued with the Templar action. Any personal experience with the Templar? This rifle will largely be a safe queen, I'm sure, but he's looking for something special. He'll take it out west hunting, but that's about it.

Been running a Templar on my 6.5 Creedmoor for about a year and a half now. Love the action. Has never given me any problems even when dirty at matches. Rifle is very accurate also. You won't go wrong with a Templar from GAP.

can you give me specs on yours? Bolt fluting? Barrel contour? He doesn't want to go any heavier than his Sendero.

sometimes they have completed rifles ready to ship , check their website. Thats how I got my crusader with the barrel @20" and already threaded for my can. As long as I can afford GAP rifles , thats what Ill be buying. The fit and finish of the rifle is great , not to mention the accuracy!

Checked the web site earlier. They have a 7wsm but with an A series stock. HTG is all he'll take.

Ready and waiting for a new owner! While the stock may not be "traditional," I have used an A3 hunting and it is an excellent stock. Don't like the stock...buy it anyway and swap the A3 out for something like an HTG.

Bolt fluting = comes standard on Templar

bbl contour = 25" Bartlein #4, probably every body else's #5

Manners T3 stock, 1:8.7 ROT, BO rings, base, & DBM

USO 1.8-10 w/ mil GAP reticle

You know, I can't help but see what bitch irony is here. I've spent the last 3 years gathering info on the site and parts for my own 300wm project. Myself and 5 ladies, young and old, share this house so money is tight. Been sharing my experiences with my father and he says "Get me one". WTF! This is when you regret the poor educational decisions you made in the past.

For $200.00 more than the Templar he could have them use the Surgeon 591. Just somthing else to consider.

No they don't. It's their proprietary action made for them to their specs for use in their rifles.

Ha... That is because Glen Harrison from defiance is the one who makes the templar action for GAP. He makes custom actions for alot of builders out there. He was the original pioneer of Nesika Bay actions.....
