So, the first time i watched it, I thought it was a complete jumbled mess.

Watched a second time and there were quite a few hidden nuances that helped make sense of it.

Techinically its mixed. Bad voice audio and while I loved the soundtrack, it seemed to overwhelm the screen at times

Admittedly, Im a nolan fan...interstellar, etc.

    Anyone watch it?

    Thoughts?

This was probably the most complicated movie I’ve ever watched. It’s much more enjoyable when you watch it a second time and for me I went back to certain parts a third time just to slow it down a bit and see what happened.

I enjoyed it but agree it was too complicated to enjoy from the get go.

    It was OK.

I thought the lead (Denzel's kid?) was horrible.

If they had someone in the lead role with an ounce of acting talent the movie would have been exponentially more enjoyable.

Have you watched a second time?
I tried but just couldn’t get through it. Read about it on all the review pages as well as the subreddit. Visually I think it’s awesome but the plot needs work. I haven’t had that issue with Nolan’s other films Interstellar or Inception

The concept is interesting/confusing and im not sure how it could have been translated to film with more clarity...tbh.

The biggest thing for me was realizing that an inverted object moved back in time relative to non inverted "reality" unless that object was contained in some form. Hence "you are catching the bullet" If not caught then....idk lol. But it has to be caught right?

So the longer an inverted object stayed in the non inverted reality, the further it "went back" in time.

That made a few pieces fall into place. But still opens quite a few questions as well.

Couple that with inverted people needed the mask to breath and it was easier to keep straight. The ending still alludes me a bit, will watch a third time to make more sense of it.

People say nolan purposely made the film to be "interesting" for several viewings. Not sure if true or not, but it definitely made more sense the second time around.

Yeah, the last battle is the part that I still can’t fully wrap my head around.

How did blue team get the information back to red team after they’d been through the battle? Did they go through the event then invert someone back to brief them?

And they always had to go through the event at the same time so technically they didn’t go through it first, right?

Still makes my head hurt. Like I get it enough to enjoy it but I still don’t have a 100% grasp on it.
