I've read that complaint on the Shiloh forum about BPCR matches.
The guys at Tullahoma run a really good match. My gripe isn't with the people volunteering their time to run things, but with a state organization that as far as I can tell uses the money collected for bar tabs in Nashville. I'm not accusing anyone of that, but in 3 yrs of competitive shooting I've never seen or heard a peep from them other than to demand $$ to play for the state trophy this yr so I couldn't prove any different if someone asked me.
The coin is still spinning as to whether I register with my GA address and shoot for the over all and screw the TN trophy, or to become a member and as a member put on my compliance audit hat and try to see if I can find out just what they actually do with the $$. (the latter actually seems like more fun to me though according to the bylaws the Board doesn't seem to be responsible to the membership. All audits are only seen by the board and are not released to the membership)
With the exception of one guy listed in Oak Ridge, and one in Memphis the rest of the listed officers all live w/i 50 miles of Nashville. Maybe it should be the NSSA and not the TnSSA?

It was a nice well run match. Conditions were fairly mild wind wise but tricky/switchy at times and it was HOT saturday but sunday was cooler with rain in the a.m. Congrats to the winners CJ Britt (FTR) from Mississippi and Jeff Traylor (F-Open) not sure where Jeff was from. Both guys shot lights out with great overall scores.
Hey man!! How'd you do??
Not good! Serious vertical issues with my load. This was the 1st time shooting that load at 1000, it shot great in load developement at 200 and 300 but it was throwing 8s straight up and down and occasionally a 7 every 5th or 6th shot while the guys shooting on the side of me were shooting waterline so i know it wasnt the conditions. Also, i lost 10 points on one shot as my bullet never got to the target and it wasn't a crossfire. Im guessing a defective bullet, maybe jacket seperation, who knows. Back to the drawing board, gotta figure out whats up with this load but we still had a good time meeting and shooting with some really nice folks. I'll be back next year.
