Terminus Zeus

I’ve been considering one too as it seems to have all the features I’m after. I like the idea of the easy switch barrel setup and I think I will like a 3 lug bolt.
@Hoser how does the bolt cycle feel related to an AI? I really like the way the bolt feels on my brothers AI but I want a traditional stock. Something about how there is no wiggle at the back of the bolt cycle is what I’m looking for. Trying to figure out if that’s just how 3 lug bolts feel because of the extra raceway over a 2 lug or if AI’s just have tighter clearance if that makes any sense. Not meaning to hijack this thread

Just got one. Playing with it now but won't get to the range with it for a week or two. I have two barrels I will be switching around and playing with (6mm BR and .223). To give you an idea of my experience I have owned a TL-3, Archimedes, Mausingfield, and the Zeus.

Thoughts so far:
  1. Swapping barrels is extremely easy. If I can get repeatable precision between barrel swaps this will be a killer feature. Looking forward to finding out.
  2. I really like the 60 degree bolt throw
  3. Fit and finish is excellent
  4. Bolt lift is heavier than my M7 Mausingfield but not by much (I am using a Bix N Andy Trigger). Mausingfield feels to have slightly less "wiggle" when the bolt is fully open and to the rear but that may change as I get more used to manipulating it.
  5. Really liking AW magazines over AICS. If I can get AW magazines and HRD Mag Kits to play nice with my 6mm BR this will be great.
  6. I am using MDT polymer .223 magazines and hope they will work well when I test at the range
  7. I had to do minor sanding down of the magazine catch on my KRG Whiskey 3 to get it to work with a fully loaded AW mag
Edit:
Just went out into the garage and messed with the two actions. The Mausingfield actually has a little more bolt wiggle when it is open and to the rear (and I push the bolt around). However, for some reason it feels smoother and tighter than the Zeus. So it's just in my head; perhaps my perception of the actions will change as I get more used to manipulating the Zeus.

Absolutely love everything about it. Action is super smooth, 60 degree is so efficient and quick and surprisingly easy to lift.
Switching barrels between the 6GT and 223 has been quick and very repeatable. Point of impact has been the same or better than my desert tech when switching barrels which blew my mind. Most of the time it’s only 0.1mil high on the first shot and then after that it’s almost always back to a perfect zero. I am not torquing the barrel and just hand tightening it.
I switch barrels quite often and even remove barrels when cleaning.
I do have a 1.1mil change in elevation when switching from 6Gt to 223 but I do not expect it to be the same and it’s easy to zero my scope. I never saw more than 0.5mil difference in my desert tech when changing from 338LM, 6.5CM and 223.
Joel Russo is an awesome knowledgeable guy and has always answered the phone every time I have called and even helped me with other shooting related issues not related to his product.
I should add: never had a single issue feeding or extracting with either the 6GT or 223 when I got the mag block installed in the MPA chassis.

Had mine for about a year now and love it. It’s ran flawlessly at wet and muddy matches as well as dry and dusty matches. I would say an Impact has slightly less bolt lift but the Zeus has a lighter lift than an AI. I have a full thread model and don’t really switch barrels much. Great action and it runs both AW and AICS mags well.

The best thing is that Joel is a fantastic guy to work with and will always make sure the customer is taken care of!!!!!!
