I was actually on another helo over Wardak this morning and saw an Apache flying out toward Saydabad. I hadn't heard the news yet but knew that they don't fly the Apaches unless something bad was happening. I only found out about the crash once I got to Kabul. What a damn tragedy.

RIP, men.

It was hard to go out and eat with the family tonight at the restraunt,watching everyone going about there night as if nothing trajic happened...These Hero's gave the ultimate for all of US,Like many before them and many to come Thank you all AND I WILL NEVER FORGET...

Yes, many go on as though nothing happened. We are in a real war, and many are worried about what color shoes they are going to wear that day. Freedom is not free. RIP.

It really pisses me off that only one of the people I spoke to today, outside of my work, even knew about this. Freedom is not free, but it sure can be easy to lose. Once lost, it is very hard to get back. Way too many people take freedom for granted.
