This past weekend we had a couple shit heads in stolen cars flee from us and some domestics. Needless to say, my contact with people was a little more than usual lately on a shift.

Saturday evening after my shift, I was a little mote tired than usual. Figured with all the excitement going on that maybe it just wore me out a little more. Sunday morning, my day off, I woke up and showered and then started to knock out some chores. I felt extremely exhausted. So I went back to bed to lat down and basically stayed in bed all day completely exhausted.

My temp ranged from 97.5-99.5 and had the chills. Monday morning I felt slightly better but still temp fluctuations that I normally don’t have and lack of energy. I did a rapid test and it came back positive. Notified work and now I’m off for two weeks. The highest my temp has been so far is 99.9, took extra strength Tylenol and an hour later it went down to 99.0

So far I still have my smell/taste and feels more like a sinus infection with plugged ears, stuffy nose, sneezing and etc. I got up to take a leak in the middle of the night just wearing a pair of shorts, and I was shaking like a wet dog. So apparently my body is more sensitive to temp changes going from a warm bed to the bathroom.

Hopefully this is as bad as it gets. Being in my early 30’s and in okay shape, I can see how this would be really bad for old people. One of our K9 guys said his symptoms were way worse than mine, but he’s also older than I am.

I work with a guy who had that basic reaction to it. He said he was exhausted for week and spent most of it on the couch. His wife lost her sense of smell as did another girl at work, but they both tested negative.

Anyways, working a COVID call center, lotta folks not losing taste/smell, but have every other symptom. A lot like a regular flu, but without the huge temp spikes.

Sorry about your being positive with aids that's horrible , well here's to a swift and painless recovery you can do it .you'll be back up in no time , but any excuse to sit in a bed all day and get fed soup and brought something to drink should not be wasted . Btw, fever below 100 is pretty mild. A few years ago hit 102-103 with a nasty flu that was mostly in my chest. Took about 5 days "sweat tenting" in bed to finally break it.

My wife just got done with it. Same exact symptoms as you, we’re mid-30’s. She lost smell and taste, though, still gone actually.

I tested negative twice somehow, both were after 5 days of her contracting it (took the boys over to see our elderly neighbor for Halloween, she tested positive the day after with symptoms. Recovered fine, though!). Both my tests were the PCR, tickle my brain, 2-day tests. Friggin nuts. I’m super susceptible to respiratory bugs, too... My boys didn’t show any different symptoms from their usual, they are toddlers though.

Good luck and it sounds like it’s starting out mild like everyone else I have heard about since the middle of October. *Should* stay mild!

^Agree, The D should be high dose. Trump got C, D, Zinc and Pepcid. Some people think Quercetin may help too with making the zinc more potent.

My 96 y.o. grandmother in a nursing home just tested positive a week or two ago. She's fine now. When I heard, I thought it was a death sentence. False positive? She's tough as nails and it didn't affect her as much? Who knows?

Good luck sir!! I just had a fever of 99.3 at the highest and was shaking like crazy every time I went to hit the head too. Mine was from the shingles shot, but about 20 hours of fever total. My normal is about 97.5 so 99 is actually a decent little fever for me.

Just watch the temperature and like was said...KEEP HYDRATED. I know we all know that, but it's really hard to do when one is sleeping it off freezing their ass off in bed.

You'll be fine. Came through our office in January. I felt like shit for one day, genuinely sick with a bad head cold kinda feeling the next, was on the mend by the third day.

Drink lots of fluids and listen to your body. If you're tired, sleep. More you listen, faster you will recover.

We had a guy test pos 11/13 (I was on vaca), the on call guy test pos on 11/16 so i went on call, another pos on 11/18, 11/20 and 11/21 so I am just waiting for my turn. Luckily we had one guy on vaca the week of 16-20 so he was not exposed. I am just waiting for my symptoms to arrive, should be thur-sat or so. Hopefully I I got lucky and dodged it this round.

I caught the same thing, just not wasting my time getting tested,

The bitch is the temp swings, I can't control the chills and I have been getting up at like 2 AM to take showers because I am drenched in sweat, I too can't handle the changes, I carry my hoodie, or have to strip it away, but every room is different.

The fevers stopped on Sunday, haven't had one, and really the worst part only lasted like 3 days, today I am achy because of the chills, my neck is not recovering very well, but otherwise, I feel pretty good.

The highest I had was 101.3, the average was 98,

The funny part, this mask shit is useless, I only went to two places with people, MHSA and King Sooper, wore a mask at both as required and the only thing I was thinking was, I was not in my car when I went to the store so I didn't do my hands immediately when I got out f the store. I have a bottle of hand sandi in the driver's door.

It's a pretty lame cold, more annoying than anything else, totally a weird Flu, with less fever. Never lost smell...

I had mine at the end of June, tested negative the second time on July 3 so I could go back to work. My fever got to a high of 100.4, but only for a few hours. Felt weird (more than normal) for a couple of days, then two days of aches and pains. Took one 500mg Tylenol and then let it take it's course. On a scale of 1-10, this was a two.

Take a few days off, spend time at the reloading bench. I don't know about this 'D' and 'Zinc' stuff, but 4064 and H1000 cured mine. I've also read Reloader 25 or Varget works too

it is also flu season, and most of us have weakened immune systems from isolation.
your body is used to getting small amounts of shit that it can fight off.
because we are constantly exposed in less than infectious amounts, our immune system stays in shape.
this way, it can respond faster if some dickhead sneezes in your face, or if you're a fucking poor and have to ride the bus.
unfortunately, isolation means our immune systems haven't been getting the normal amount of exercise.
were are like isolated natives with immune systems unprepared to fight even typically moderate threats.

Hope everyone who is sick gets better soon! If testing is an easy option it is in my opinion a good idea. Once you've had it, it is kind of nice to know. The vast majority of Covid cases are mild with no complications. I got it back in June testing positive, very much like the OP's symptoms but with a total and I mean total loss of smell and no fever. Just a couple of days sleeping and then a week of boredom self isolating. Smell came back in 72 hours and I have no issues that I can tell. Stay strong and positive friends!

zinc deficiency can cause loss of taste and smell.

zinc is needed for proper immune function.
low zinc levels (common in elderly, cancer patients, diabetics...) make you more vulnerable
if one of your symptoms is loss of taste and smell, you might want to start taking supplements regularly.

hcq is a zinc ionophore (transport agent for zinc), which is why it helps.

1. Never knew he had it, he was found to have antibodies indicating prior infection
2. Kind of a whiner, complained about his breathing but was in work after his two week quarantine
3. Older guy that kind of worries. Said it just made him tired and he lost sense of taste. Back at work.
4. Currently in it. Says his chest is congested like a deep lung cold, causes him to cough when he exerts himself, still has sense of taste.
