A few months ago I ordered a B&C stock that would fit my Savage 12 with the old action screw spacing from Stocky Stocks because they were the only ones that had one available and ready to ship. When I received the package I saw that the address it was shipped from was Riviera Beach FL. Funny enough I was scheduled to be working out of Riviera Beach for the next 9 months, on and off. I'm also in the process of starting a new build but didn't really know what stock I wanted to use for that build. I was originally thinking a Manners T3 or a McMillan HTG.
Anyway, I called up Stocky Stocks and asked if I could drop in and try out a few to see which one I liked best while I was in the area. I was thinking where else could I go to a one stop shop that had everything available to try out. They made an appointment with me for that afternoon and said they would have a few out for me to try. When I got there I found out that Stocky Stocks wasn't a regular store front, but a warehouse that was pretty much for phone and internet sales. Basically, they aren't set up for Joe Customer to walk in and browse. However, they could not have been more friendly, courteous and helpful. They had already opened about 5 brand new stocks and had them laid out for me to try. After trying those, they made a few more suggestions based on my comments, went in the back, brought out some more brand new packages, opened them and let me play for a bit. They ended up opening about 10 or 12 brand new packages (total) for me to try. I ended up buying a Manners MCS-T, which I wouldn't have considered if they hadn't suggested it.
Long story short, the ladies at Stocky Stocks were amazing. They were very knowledgeable in the differences between each of the stocks and very helpful with ensuring that I made the right choice with what worked for me.
