Wild Bananas
The first bananas were cultivated at least 7,000-10,000 years ago in what’s known now as Papua New Guinea and southeast Asia.
In their original incarnation, they were smaller, fatter, and had large, hard seeds inside.
Modern Banana
The fruit we normally associate with the banana is actually the Cavendish variety, which got it’s original form in 1836, and became the dominant banana after several other varieties succumbed to Panama disease.
This variety is a hybrid and has been bred to be easier to peel, have smaller seeds, and to be packed with more nutrients.

Those actually looked pretty tasty. Add some nice thick sliced bacon on the side, strong black coffee, and that would be a breakfast I would enjoy.
