I just check the rates using Google currency conversion and it showed me 1095.00 CAD = 1062.79 USD on 1/16/10. Does anyone else have a second opinion?

At least it includes a set of skins, cheek piece, and a mag. I thought it was just for the chassis only and you'd have to furnish the rest. Still pretty expensive though.

To beat the competition, I think AICS should put together a GB for the Savage chassis grand release

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

Pricing for the Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) for the Savage, will be the same as the current Remington models. We will introduce this at Shot Show and will work on the current ETD of this new product, thanks to all for the pm's and emails. More to come as released.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

Accurate-Mag is the OEM supplier for allSavage BA rifle DBM magazines including the new 3.850 length 338 CIP, we have bottom metal for Savage SA & LA.

Boot

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

"boottrac" you are correct on most of your statement above. However, back on track here, this is a thread on the Accuracy International Chassis System for the Savage Model 10, not mags or bottom metal for the Savage, point made.

We will have this chassis and all of our new products displayed at Shot Show booth #20405 including the new .223 magazine. Stop by and check these out, I will be posting pictures of all these daily, if the internet god allow. More to come.....

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

Stacey,
The new web site for AINA is very eciting, I have several AI rifles and they are a world class product. I met most of the crew in England when I lectured at the Millitary college for the Canon syposium.
Good Luck to AI at the SHOT show and I will stop by.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

The Savage AICS is here, installed the rifle in the "rapid prototype" and it will be on the stand tomorrow at Shot Show. Looks good, Model 10FP Short Action, 18" barrel, .308, QD muzzle brake all black and no logo's, looks sharp.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

At this time, we will be only offering the AX AICS for the M700 series. On the Savage, we want to get the AICS into production and to the customers. The AX AICS and AX series rifles are obviously geared towards some military contracts and requirements now.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

Is that the AICS .223 mag in the middle of the bottom picture?

If so, then it will fit my CDI DBM, correct?

Also, am I correct in thinking the AICS allows an action to be placed and removed repeatedly, like a switchbarrel, without any concerns?

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

she mentioned that these would cover the accustock model but those have a bolt release as part of the trigger guard which would not be used on the aics so how would you get the bolt out? maybe retrofit it with the older model parts?

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

ok well now that this post is 6 months old...does anyone out there have one of these on a savage yet? i just got a model 10fcp and would love to purchase one of these bad mama jamas

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

How did I miss this thread for so long.... Now I am waiting for a update (not as long as most of you though).

Any Pics?

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

Unfortunately no pics.. I showed my buddy the website one night and he ordered one the next day.

It looks like the chassis on the main page just with a magpul PRS on it. www.xlrindustries.com

He said the company was great to work with (Kyle) I think is what he said his name was, stayed in contact the whole time and pushed it out in about 4 weeks I believe. He also machined it to accept both lefty and righty actions seeing as my buddy is a lefty shooting righty he just wanted to be prepaired if he ever got a left handed action.

Next time we get together I'll snag a couple photos of it.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

I better start saving my pennies so I can get another savage to put into one of these. The one I have is the old 4.27" spacing. Need to start thinking about chambering for something reeeally cool!

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

i called. he said when two companies battle in court only the lawyers win. it is too bad. maybe they could just sell the frame. let people buy skins and screws with no mention of what the part they sell is for. but thats what they said when i asked. hard to believe they can crank them out and we are still waiting almost or over a year now??

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

I've had high hopes for this project from AI but due to the extreme wait I've moved on to a different chassis. I don't begrudge AI, they make their bread and butter with .mil contracts and this is small potatoes in their world. Maybe I'll give them a look for a future project when/if the chassis for the Savage ever makes it to the market.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

I know that I have thought about getting the ATR because i am definetly tired of waiting for the AI. I wondering how much time before the patent is up. Then you may see a few guys making their own frames.

Re: The AICS is finaly coming for that savage mode

Alright saw a picture in the bolt action forum of the 2011 shot show that showed a Savage in a Aics stock... Is this actualy going to happen this year ? If so any idea on when ?
