Hard to tell what she was able to see from her position. The officer that was shot was standing across from her at the right front passenger door. Did she even know who was doing the shooting, and could she have thought it was that officer who shot first, which would mean she’s in a cross fire? If so she probably should have moved off-line towards the rear of the vehicle, but thats a minor gripe.


I didn't watch all the vids or read any of the documents.

Classic Hide. If she stands there and gets shot the armchair quarterbacks will say she should have moved away. When she runs away the armchair quarterbacks say she should have stayed there.

Were there some tactical errors here? Yes. Can the video be used for training and lessons learned? Yes.

Is it a chickenshit move to make a post about it just to call them cowards? Yes. But any excuse to hate on cops just for the sake of hating on cops seems to be the norm here.

You'd have never posted the video and praised the officer if she stood there and smoked the dude. You'd keep on clicking videos until you find something to make fun of or complain about.

Several mistakes but as people do, she panicked. None of them "distinguished" themselves, but that kinda stuff happens on a 2-way range in the heat of the moment.

Every single one of them forgot to call in their location on their "Shots fired"

Lotta questions to go around and I know when momma cries "they shot my boy" but he's packin in Garfield Park and uncooperative with police we aren't dealing with a model citizen, odds are.

That isn't a "just comply" and you will be fine. You can refuse to give answers but still cooperate. Starting a gunfight, pretty low on the list especially when outnumbered.

I'm sure all the Meal Team 6 operators here have it covered though.

Remember this is CPD, which are just a very slight cut above the actors in the police academy movie. However I suspect he had been to Cook co. jail once before and was not going back ever again. All of us who have had the pleasure to stay there awhile, have said that same thing. My 2 week visit was in the 60's so it may have changed somewhat, but I'd not take the chance. Cook co. or gun fight with all of CPD, no brainier,...
