Well don't let RHunter see this. He will get his panties twisted over the fact that this man avenged the rape of his daughter like most MEN, most FATHERS would do. Good on him and good on Texas.

Can't say that I condone what he did, but I sure as hell understand it and I can't say, as a husband and a father and a brother to three sisters and as a human being in general, that I wouldn't have done the same if I found myself in that awful position he was in.

Douche-nozzle got what he deserved...I can only pray that "justice" will continue to be served for an eternity as he burns in the hottest flames hell can offer!

Although I don't have much pity for the dead rapist, the real problem is that the Father's actions can't undo what happened to his daughter (and him). I sure wouldn't condemn the man for getting the rapist to cease his actions by any manner possible. In reality, the Father, and entire have family become victimized by the actions of the rapist, because the entire family will have to live with all the consequences of the rape and resulting actions of the girl's father.

The family of the rapist will have consequences to live with as well, but those are the consequences the rapist delivered onto his own family.

It wasnt intentional. I heard the 911 recording when the dad called 911. He tried helping the old man and kept saying he thought he was dead, for the ambulance to hurry, he didn't mean to hurt him that bad. He caught him in the act and did what was necessary to save his daughter. It was just a bonus that the piece of shit died.

In a self defense course I took many moons back, I was taught that if I had to kill someone in self defense, to call 911 and request an ambulance first. Don't ask for the police, they will come. Just stress the idea that you don't want the felon to die. You must save his life.
This is, of course, after two to the heart and one to the head..

As a side bar to this topic, an employee at the state prison told a class i attended that a convicted rapist or pedifile serving time and learning a trade such as cabinet making or whatever for 20 years and gets out of prison is still and will always be a rapist and or pedifile who now can build great cabinets!!!

Its unfortunate that the rapist died. In doing that he deprived the tax payers of Texas a long expensive drawn out court case at the expense of the the father and tax payers/public defender. The rapist also deprived the daughter of wondering if her father loved her enough and anguishing over why her father did not properly watch over her and defend her or why he called the police instead of taking immediate action.

I have seen many times the later reprocusions of abuse and the onset of the anger in the victim that their parents were not there for them. Also their frustration that when their parents found out they did very little to rectify the problem. For this victim the healing process has begun early. There will be no fear of facing the rapist ever again in court or on the street.

You're not going to try to explain it because you can't. At root of it they're both the same, only the offense is different. I guess in your world though you can pick an choose what is appropriate and what is not. Sounds like double talk and hypocrisy to me.

Myself, I am down with doing what it takes to stop what is happening. If there is potential harm to family, or friend, or anyone for that matter, if the aggressor dies, so be it. I will be the first one to ask for help trying to revive the fuck. But before I do, I'll call 911 for the amberlamps. Really though, some people deserve to get beat up, and some deserve to die.

I find it very odd that someone has 1/5(20%) of their entire post count dedicated to a nondebate with an LEO(debates are usually made with sound and valid premise, not unsound, invalid propaganda based ad homonym attack). For a US Army Veteran, that would be quite significant, especially when it crosses multiple threads. It almost appears to be antagonistic, in an underhanded hostile way. Not quite what I would expect from either LEO or US Army vet
